  • Samsung is likely to launch the Galaxy A58 around March 2027.

Samsung is taking the next step towards launching its 2027 Galaxy A-series lineup. The upcoming Samsung Galaxy A58 has now appeared on China’s 3C certification database, revealing its charging capabilities ahead of its expected debut next year. The listing doesn’t disclose much, but it suggests Samsung may stick with the same charging speed as its predecessor. The Galaxy A58 will succeed the Galaxy A57, which launched in March this year.

Samsung Galaxy A58 3C certification details

The 3C database lists the unannounced Samsung 5G smartphone with model number SM-A5860. The device received certification on October 30th and supports wired charging at up to 45W (15V/3A). The model number is associated with the Galaxy A58, which previously appeared in the GSMA IMEI database as SM-A586B/DS.

The listing also indicates that the phone will be sold without a charging adapter. Buyers will therefore need to purchase a compatible charger separately, as with recent Galaxy A-series models. The 45W charging support matches the Galaxy A57’s charging capability.

Samsung Galaxy A58 specifications (expected)

According to earlier leaks, the Galaxy A58 could retain the Galaxy A57’s camera hardware, probably to keep costs in check. This includes a 50MP main camera, a 12MP ultrawide lens and a 5MP macro camera on the back, along with a 12MP selfie camera. The phone is also tipped to run Android 17 with One UI 9.5. Samsung has already started software development for the device. A firmware build carrying version A586BXXU0AZI5 appeared on the company’s servers in October.

For reference, the Galaxy A57 features a 6.7-inch FHD+ 120Hz Super AMOLED+ display, an Exynos 1680 chipset, up to 12GB RAM, a 5,000mAh battery and an IP68 rating. It’s 6.9 mm thick and weighs 179 gms. The A58 is expected to bring a newer chipset, although no details have surfaced yet.

Samsung hasn’t announced a launch date, but the Galaxy A57’s March debut points to a possible March 2027 launch for its successor. The Galaxy A58 is also expected to arrive after the Galaxy S27 series. The Galaxy A57 launched in India at Rs 56,999 and is currently listed at Rs 62,999 for its 8GB + 256GB storage variant. Those considering the phone should wait for more details before deciding, since the launch doesn’t seem to be too far off.
