Samsung Galaxy A56, A36, and F17 India prices hiked once again by up to Rs 2,000: report
Earlier this year, in January, Samsung had hiked prices of three of its mid-range and budget phones: Galaxy A56, Galaxy A36, and Galaxy F17. Samsung is increasing the prices of the exact three phones once again, and this time too, by up to Rs 2,000. The new prices are effective starting today and are expected to go live across all platforms, including online. There’s no official confirmation of why Samsung has increased prices for these phones, but it’s possibly due to industry changes like rising component and manufacturing costs.
An official image of the price revision for all three phones was shared on X, detailing the price revision changes for all three phones. The Galaxy A56 8GB + 256GB, which was selling for Rs 43,999, is now available at Rs 44,999. The 12GB + 256GB has been hit with a Rs 2,000 hike, increasing its price from Rs 46,999 to Rs 48,999. These prices put the Galaxy A56 closer to the sub-flagship segment.

The mid-range Galaxy A36 is also now costlier by Rs 2,000 for the 12GB + 256GB variant, which now costs Rs 40,499. The 8GB + 256GB variant has received a price hike of Rs 1,000, bringing it up to Rs 36,499.
As for the budget Galaxy F17, it now starts at Rs 16,499 for the base variant with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage. The 6GB + 128GB and 8GB + 128GB variants are now priced at Rs 17,999 and Rs 19,999, respectively.

Since the new prices take effect starting today, it might take a while for the online platforms like Samsung’s e-store and Amazon to show the new prices. Still, it would be a good time to purchase any of these phones if you’ve been considering them. It’s worth mentioning that Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy A57 and Galaxy A37 next month, so you might want to wait for that too. The new models could also trigger a price drop for the existing ones. Also, since the Galaxy A56 and Galaxy A36 are almost a year old now, you might want to consider newer alternatives like the Realme 16 Pro+, Vivo V60, and OPPO Reno 15.
