Samsung has confirmed it’s next lower mid-ranger, the Samsung Galaxy F70, is set to launch in India on October 18th with a focus on display quality, camera versatility and a slim design. A teaser on Flipkart hints at a starting price below Rs 20,000, although the exact price is yet to be announced.

The Galaxy F70’s specifications are notable in the current market, where rising smartphone prices have made it harder to find a well-rounded package at this price. While AMOLED displays and OIS cameras are already available on competing phones, Samsung is bringing together an FHD+ 120Hz panel, Gorilla Glass Victus protection, a triple rear camera setup and a 7.5 mm body at that price point.

Samsung Galaxy F70 launch date and price

Samsung has confirmed that the Galaxy F70 5G will launch in India on October 18th. The Flipkart teaser displays a starting price of Rs 1X,XXX, indicating that the phone will cost less than Rs 20,000. Samsung hasn’t revealed the exact price or variants. Going by the teased range, the Galaxy F70 will sit between the Galaxy F70e, which currently starts at Rs 18,499, and the Galaxy F70 Pro, priced from Rs 37,999. The standard model could appeal to buyers who want a better display and more versatile cameras without paying the Pro model’s premium.

Samsung Galaxy F70 specifications and design

The Galaxy F70 has a flat frame with rounded corners and a slim 7.5 mm profile. The teaser shows a lavender-blue rear panel with a contrasting silver frame. Three cameras are stacked vertically inside a pill-shaped module, with an LED flash beside it. The front camera sits in a waterdrop-style notch. The colours are confirmed to be Vivid Violet and Bold Black.

Samsung has confirmed the specifications of the phone via a microsite. It features a 6.7-inch FHD+ 120Hz sAMOLED display protected by Gorilla Glass Victus. Super AMOLED, or sAMOLED, is Samsung’s branding for AMOLED displays with an integrated touch layer. The phone runs on the Exynos 1330 chipset, which we saw on the Galaxy A17 (review) and F17, and packs a 5,000mAh battery with 25W charging. Other features include NFC, Circle to Search with Google, Gemini and Samsung Wallet with Tap and Pay. For photography, the Galaxy F70 gets a 50MP primary camera with optical image stabilisation (OIS), a 5MP ultrawide camera and a 2MP macro sensor. A 13MP front camera handles selfies and video calls.
