The Samsung Galaxy F70e 5G, which launched last week, has gone on sale in India starting today, targeting buyers who want an affordable 5G phone with a big display and dependable battery life. The device is available through Samsung.com, Flipkart, and select retail stores, with introductory pricing starting at Rs 11,999.

The phone is officially priced at Rs 13,999 for the 4GB + 128GB storage variant and Rs 15,499 for the 6GB + 128GB model. Launch offers bring those prices down to Rs 11,999 and Rs 13,499.

Samsung has focussed on everyday essentials in the competitive sub-Rs 15,000 segment. The Galaxy F70e 5G features a 6.7-inch HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate, which makes scrolling and basic gaming feel smoother. It runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor, a chipset commonly seen in budget 5G devices. Among the competition, the Redmi 15C, POCO C85 and the OPPO K13x offer the same chipset, so factors like software stability, battery life, and after-sales support are likely to influence buying decisions.

The camera setup includes a 50MP main camera with an f/1.8 aperture paired with a depth sensor for portrait shots, along with an 8MP front camera for selfies and video calls. This is standard for the segment. While some rivals add extra macro lenses or AI features, Samsung appears to be focusing on consistent portrait results rather than additional sensors.

Battery life is one of the phone’s main highlights. The Galaxy F70e 5G packs a 6,000mAh battery, which Samsung says can last up to two days on a single charge. It supports 25W fast charging and includes efficiency improvements through One UI 8.

The phone is 8.2 mm thick and features a leather-textured back, available in Limelight Green and Spotlight Blue.

The Galaxy F70e 5G competes directly with phones like the POCO M7 Plus and Redmi 15, both known for aggressive pricing and feature-heavy spec sheets. Samsung’s advantage lies in its software experience, service network, and brand familiarity, especially for first-time smartphone buyers or those upgrading from older 4G devices. For buyers, the launch pricing makes the F70e 5G a sensible choice if battery life, a large display, and reliable day-to-day performance are the priorities. Those looking for sharper displays, faster charging, or more versatile cameras may still find better fits elsewhere in the same price range.
