Samsung has officially launched the Galaxy F70e in India, the first phone from the Galaxy F70 series. The new smartphone series was announced last week by Samsung, saying that it will offer strong hardware specifications with innovative AI-powered features that will deliver a more ambitious and performance-focused experience than previous F-series models. The Galaxy F70e has been launched with a 50MP main camera, 120Hz refresh rate display, and a 6,000mAh battery, and more.

The Galaxy F70e starts at Rs 12,999 in India for the base model with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage. It comes in another variant with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage, which costs Rs 14,999. As part of the launch offer, customers can buy the base model at just Rs 12,499, while the top-end variant is available at Rs 13,999. The Galaxy F70e has been launched exclusively on Flipkart, with its sale starting on February 17th at 12 pm.

In terms of specs, the Galaxy F70e features a 6.7-inch HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a waterdrop notch. A notch display might seem dated compared to rivals, as punch-hole is what all new phones launch with, even in the entry-level segment. The smartphone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset, which is known to be a decent chipset for this price range, but may not deliver the best performance numbers.

The smartphone houses a dual-camera setup with a 50MP primary camera and a 2MP secondary sensor. For selfies, there’s an 8MP front camera on the Galaxy F70e. This is one of the best camera setups you can get for this price. The Galaxy F70e also packs a 6,000mAh battery with 25W fast charging support. While the battery capacity should be more than enough for daily use, there are phones in this segment that offer a 7,000 mAh battery, like the Lava Play Ultra

The Galaxy F70e’s highlight is its six-year software support. Also, the phone runs Android 16-based One UI 8 out of the box, so you’re getting updates up to Android 22. The smartphone also comes with an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance, and a leather pattern finish on the back. This makes the phone look good and premium, and should also offer a good hand-feel. The Galaxy F70e has been launched in Limelight Green and Spotlight Blue colours.

With the Galaxy F70e, Samsung is offering a decent set of specifications, but also focusing more on the software experience compared to other brands. Its starting price of Rs 12,999also makes the Galaxy F70e a good budget phone and a daily driver. If you’re looking for a phone for long-term usage with reliable software support, a large battery, and good cameras, then the Galaxy F70e could be a good option. But if a bigger battery, better display, and faster performance are priorities, then you may want to check out alternatives.
