Samsung announced the launch of the Galaxy F70 series in India last week. It has now revealed the first phone from the lineup, the Galaxy F70e. According to Samsung’s official teaser, the Galaxy F70e could be unveiled today, or more details about the phone may be revealed. This smartphone is also confirmed to launch between Rs 10,000 and Rs 15,000, making it a budget offering. In line with the official reveal, the Galaxy F70e’s complete specifications have been leaked by tipster Sanju Choudhary on X.
According to the tipster, the Galaxy F70e will feature a 6.7-inch HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a waterdrop notch. While the display specs are pretty standard for this price segment, a notch design still seems dated compared to rivals. The smartphone will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset, a decent chipset for this price range. It could launch in multiple variants with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage.
The smartphone is said to house a dual-camera setup with a 50MP primary camera and a 2MP secondary sensor. For selfies, there’s an 8MP front camera tipped for the Galaxy F70e. Its battery specs include a 6,000mAh battery and 25W fast charging support. This is a decent setup, but we already have phones offering a 7,000mAh battery under Rs 15,000.
The Galaxy F70e is also tipped to feature a side fingerprint sensor, a microSD slot for expandable storage, and an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance. The smartphone will feature a vegan leather design, which has already been revealed by Samsung. The handset has been spotted in a light green colour.
Samsung had said that the Galaxy F70 series will focus on a mix of powerful hardware and AI-driven features. This has been a key area for Samsung with a major push in AI features and long-term software support. The same is expected to be followed for the Galaxy F70e running One UI 8 (Android 16) out of the box and at least six years of software updates. This would give the Galaxy F70e an edge over its rivals with a more refined and reliable software experience.
Real-world performance will only become clear once the phone is tested, but based on the leaked specifications, the Galaxy F70e appears to focus on delivering a balanced hardware package. A premium design and AI-powered features seem to be its key highlights. For buyers considering a budget Samsung smartphone, the Galaxy F70e could be worth waiting for.
