The Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 series, comprising the Galaxy Tab S11 and Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra, was launched in September last year. In typical fashion, the company is expected to release its successors in the same timeframe this year. In conjunction with this, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra has surfaced on the Google Play Console, revealing its processor, RAM configuration, Android version, and even the front appearance.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra spotted on Google Play Console

A new Google Play Console listing for the Samsung Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra has revealed that the upcoming flagship tablet could be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500. While the listing doesn’t explicitly state the processor’s name, the ‘System on chip’ name MT6993 directly hints at the Dimensity 9500. Just like other devices with the said chipset, the Tab S12 Ultra will carry an octa-core CPU structure comprising an ARM C1-Ultra big core, paired with an ARM Mali G1-Ultra GPU.

Moving on, the RAM is listed as ‘11.7GB to 11.8GB’, meaning the tablet will have this amount of usable RAM, while the total RAM may be 12GB, at least for this specific storage variant that has surfaced on the Play Console. The device runs on Android 17 Beta, likely One UI 9, which recently debuted on the Galaxy Z Fold 8 series and Galaxy Z Flip 8.

The listing has also revealed the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra’s display, which looks identical to the Tab S11 Ultra’s, featuring a dew-drop notch and fairly slim, symmetrical bezels. The resolution is 1848 x 2960 with a pixel density of 280 ppi, per the listing, which is again similar to its predecessor.

How is Samsung expected to position the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra?

Given the addition of MediaTek’s current-generation flagship chipset, the Dimensity 9500, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra could certainly fetch a much higher price than the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra with the Dimensity 9400+. The Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra was launched for Rs 1,10,999, and given the ongoing memory crisis, the newest Samsung tablet could easily be Rs 10,000 or more expensive.

Considering the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra looks nearly identical to the Tab S11 Ultra from the front, it could also feature a large 14.6-inch AMOLED display, suitable for binge-watching content with vibrant, high-contrast tones. On the other hand, the standard Galaxy Tab S12 could also tag along with its ‘Ultra’ counterpart, which may feature a smaller display at a lower price point. Overall, the tablet could be presented as the best Samsung has to offer in 2026. With the Dimensity 9500, it should be able to handle any task, big or small, with ease, while One UI 9 will offer advanced multitasking features, such as opening three to four windows at a time, as we recently saw on the Galaxy Z Fold 8 series.

If you’re seeking a top-of-the-line Android tablet, it could be worth waiting for the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra’s debut for its performance prowess, AMOLED display, and mature software experience.
