Samsung has launched the Galaxy Tab A11+ in India, expanding its budget-friendly tablet lineup with a slightly upgraded option above the standard Galaxy Tab A11. Following its debut in global markets earlier this year, the Tab A11+ arrives as a bigger, more capable alternative for students, casual streamers and light users who want a large screen without pushing into mid-range and high-end Galaxy Tab S territory.

In India, Samsung is offering the tablet in four variants across Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi + cellular options. The base 6GB RAM + 128GB model starts at Rs 22,999 for the Wi-Fi only model, while the cellular version will cost Rs 26,999. The higher 8GB + 256GB configuration costs Rs 28,999 for Wi-Fi and Rs 32,999 for Wi-Fi + cellular. All models come in Grey and Silver and are already available via Amazon and Samsung’s online store. There is a cashback of Rs 3,000 on all models.

The Tab A11+ shares its design DNA with the regular Tab A11 with upgrades in display and battery. You get an 11-inch TFT LCD panel with a 90Hz refresh rate, which is an improvement over the Tab A11’s smaller 8.7-inch display. The device boasts a 7,040mAh battery with 25W charging, bigger than the standard A11’s 5,100mAh capacity, but this is still lesser than what the competition from POCO and Redmi offer at 10,000mAh. However, Samsung’s optimisation could help it last comfortably through a school or work day.

The chipset powering the Samsung Tab A11+ is the MediaTek Dimensity 7030, with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. While it isn’t positioned as a performance-focused tablet, it should be smooth enough for everyday use like web browsing, OTT streaming, taking notes and light multitasking. The addition of DeX mode for the first time in a budget tablet allows it to function like a PC. The moment you hook up a monitor, keyboard, and mouse, the tablet behaves more like a desktop workspace with resizable windows, which should be pretty useful if you are a student juggling assignments or a user looking for basic productivity.

In terms of cameras, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A11+ keeps things simple with an 8MP rear unit and a 5MP front camera, much like the Tab A11. The rear one is pretty standard for the category though the POCO Pad and Redmi Pad Pro have 8MP front cameras too. It’s not very common to see tablets in this price bracket focus on imaging, so there shouldn’t be much to expect.

The Tab A11+ weighs under 500g and features an IP52 rating for dust and splash resistance, much like its competitors. Dolby Atmos-backed quad speakers also make the A11+ more entertainment-friendly, a feature also present on the OnePlus Pad Go, POCO Pad and Redmi Pad Pro which is priced in the same segment.

At this price, the nearest competitors of the Galaxy Tab A11+ are the Redmi Pad Pro, POCO Pad, and OnePlus Pad Go. These tablets are over a year old, and the OnePlus Pad Go series is getting a refresh with the Pad Go 2 launching in India on December 17th. Among the competition, Samsung’s promise of seven years of OS and security updates stands out as all rivals offer two to three years at best. This makes the Tab A11+ among the most future-proof options in the Rs 20,000 – Rs 30,000 bracket. Even within Samsung, this is a big leap as previous A-series tablets generally didn’t receive this level of long-term support.

With the Tab A11+, Samsung looks to target users who want a reliable, long-lasting tablet with a big screen and clean software experience. It finds its place above the regular A11 without drifting into the higher Tab S10 Lite range, giving buyers another tier to choose based on the display quality, performance needs, and budget. If you’re comparing options, the biggest strengths of the Tab A11+ in this segment are the long software support, DeX mode, and overall balance of entertainment and productivity features.
