Vivo T5 Pro tipped to launch in India by mid-April, price may cross Rs 30,000
Vivo could be getting ready to refresh its T series in India, with leaks pointing to a mid-April launch for the Vivo T5 Pro. A report by Smartprix, citing tipster Yogesh Brar, suggests the phone will be priced just above Rs 30,000 and may stay under Rs 35,000.
That’s a step up from the Vivo T4 Pro, which came in between Rs 27,999 and Rs 32,000 when it launched in August 2025. So this looks like Vivo nudging the series slightly higher, possibly because of the memory components price rise that is affecting the cost of smartphones across the board.

Vivo T5 Pro specifications could include a massive battery besides other upgrades
On paper, the T5 Pro seems to be pitched around the battery and display. The battery is the main feature here — a reported 9,020mAh unit, up from 6,500mAh on the T4 Pro. If that translates well outside of lab conditions, it could mean a phone that comfortably lasts longer than most in this price range. Even though capacities are rising across the board, the baseline is more or less around 6,500mAh to 7,000mAh, so this number is a big deal. Fast charging is still expected to sit at 90W.
The display is also tipped to move up to a 6.8-inch AMOLED panel with 1.5K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. The previous model topped out at 120Hz, so this is a refinement that should be noticeable in day-to-day use. Performance is expected to come from the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset, replacing the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 on the previous model, pointing to a modest step up. On the camera side, the phone is tipped to include a 50MP primary sensor using the Sony IMX882. The T4 Pro also featured a 50MP main camera, though in a triple-camera setup, so changes here may be more about sensor tuning than resolution. Durability is expected to remain unchanged, with IP68 and IP69+ ratings likely to carry over from the current model.
Who will the Vivo T5 Pro compete with in India at the expected price?
At this price, the Vivo T5 Pro would land in the same space as phones like the Nothing Phone (4a), along with options like the Realme 16 Pro and Redmi Note 15 Pro. Most phones here already offer solid all-round performance, so the difference usually comes down to what a brand chooses to prioritise. In this case, Vivo seems to be putting its weight behind battery capacity and a higher refresh rate display.
If you’re considering a phone in this sub-Rs 35,000 price range, the T5 Pro could be worth waiting for if battery life is a priority. A jump from 6,500mAh to over 9,000mAh is significant on paper and could translate into longer usage between charges. At the same time, the expected price increase means it will be compared more closely with phones that already offer balanced performance and cameras. If battery is not a key factor, existing options in this segment may still offer a more rounded experience.
