Vivo is reportedly planning to launch its next-generation V-series smartphones in India soon. It was reported earlier that the Vivo V70 series will launch in India in mid-February, and the same has been reiterated, suggesting strongly that the phones could arrive soon. Among the lineup, the Vivo V70 and Vivo V70 Elite are expected to debut first. Ahead of the rumoured debut, 91mobiles has received pricing details of both phones courtesy of tipster Sanju Choudhry.
The Vivo V70 could be priced between Rs 40,000 and Rs 45,000, while the more powerful Vivo V70 Elite is expected to land in the Rs 50,000 to Rs 55,000 bracket. These price points would place the V70 as a premium all-rounder, with the Elite model targeting buyers looking for near-flagship performance without crossing into ultra-premium territory. It’s also worth pointing out that the Vivo V70 is getting a price hike as the V60 launched at Rs 36,999, putting the former in a new category altogether.
The standard Vivo V70 is said to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, marking a generational leap in performance over its predecessor. As with previous V-series devices, Vivo is expected to focus heavily on imaging, with Zeiss-tuned cameras once again forming the centrepiece of the phone. The device is likely to ship with a high refresh rate AMOLED display, a large battery with fast charging support, and configurations going up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage.
More attention, however, is on the Vivo V70 Elite, which is tipped to be the top-end model in the lineup. This phone is tipped to be powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, a chipset normally seen in high-end mid-range smartphones. However, considering its rumoured price point, the chipset might seem underwhelming as you get much faster chipsets in this segment.

The Elite variant is also speculated to launch as a rebranded version of the Vivo S50 in China. Vivo has previously followed this strategy, bringing S-series hardware to India under the V-series name with minor tweaks. The Chinese S50 features a 6.59-inch 1.5K OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor, a 50MP main camera paired with a 50MP telephoto lens and an 8MP ultra-wide lens. It packs a 6,500mAh battery with 90W fast charging support. The Vivo V70 Elite is also tipped to launch in a new brown colour option for India.
With the V70 series, Vivo appears to be pushing the V-line further upmarket. The standard V70 is expected to continue the brand’s formula of stylish design, strong cameras and balanced performance, while the V70 Elite could blur the line between the V-series and Vivo’s flagship X-series devices. More concrete details are expected to emerge in the coming weeks as Vivo officially begins teasing the launch. For now, anyone planning to upgrade to the Vivo V70 series would have to wait anyway, but also consider the reviews properly before making any purchase.
