Vivo V80 specifications
Vivo has confirmed key specifications of the V80 ahead of its launch. The Vivo V80 will feature a 6.75-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and 5,000 nits peak brightness. It will launch with a 7,200mAh battery, the biggest-ever on a V-series phone. This will be paired with 90W fast charging support.

The Vivo V80 is also confirmed to offer a 50MP primary camera, a 50MP telephoto lens, a 50MP selfie camera, and an ultra-wide camera with Zeiss optics. Vivo has also confirmed different focal lengths like 85mm and 100mm for close-up portraits. The smartphone is also getting 30+ AI-powered creative features, including AI Diwali Portrait 2.0. It will also come with 4K Cinematic video recording support. Vivo appears to be aggressively pushing camera innovation in its V-series.
On the software front, the V80 will run OriginOS 7 based on Android 17 out of the box, making it the first Vivo phone to feature this software version at launch.
Vivo V80 pricing (expected)
The Vivo V80 is tipped to launch at Rs 63,000 for the 8GB + 128GB model, while the 8GB + 256GB and 8GB + 512GB variants may cost Rs 70,000 and Rs 80,000, respectively. At this rumoured price, the V80 could have an advantage over rivals like the OPPO Reno 16, which costs Rs 66,999.
As for the Vivo S2 FE, the company has yet to reveal its specifications, but the phone is tipped to feature a massive 10,000mAh battery. The Vivo S2 FE is also tipped to launch between Rs 30,000 and Rs 40,000 in India.
Based on everything we know so far, the Vivo V80 is aimed at buyers who want a premium mid-range phone with versatile cameras, a comfortable form factor, and reliable battery life. The Vivo S2 FE, on the other hand, can be considered by users who prioritise battery endurance. If you’re currently using a V60 or older and prioritize camera and battery upgrades, waiting for the V80’s full review might be worthwhile. However, if you’re on a tighter budget and battery life is paramount, the S2 FE could be a strong contender to consider immediately after launch.
