The Vivo X300 series recently made its global debut with two flagship models, the X300 and X300 Pro. But the lineup isn’t complete just yet. A third, even more premium entrant is reportedly on the way, and it’s shaping up to be the most powerful (and most expensive) of the trio. Rumours point to a 2025 launch for the Vivo X300 Ultra, a device expected to push smartphone photography to new heights. Early leaks suggest it could feature two 200MP cameras, a first in the industry, and further cementing Vivo’s reputation for cutting-edge imaging tech. If true, the X300 Ultra may take the brand’s camera excellence to an entirely new level.
According to the tipster Digital Chat Station, who is well-known for revealing early details on Chinese phones, a new ‘Ultra’ smartphone will feature a triple rear camera setup, with all three lenses reportedly using larger, upgraded sensors and two 200MP sensors. The smartphone in question is speculated to be the Vivo X300 Ultra. This would make it the first device in the industry to include two 200MP cameras. The primary lens is said to offer a 35mm focal length, making it well-suited for portraits, street photography, and everyday shooting.

Its would-be predecessor, the Vivo X200 Ultra, also has a triple-camera setup with a 50MP primary camera, a 50MP ultra-wide camera, and a 200MP telephoto camera with 100x digital zoom and 3.7x optical zoom. The additional 200MP camera on the X300 Ultra will most likely be the primary sensor, and the other will serve as a telephoto camera. It’s interesting what other improvements have been planned for the Vivo X300 Ultra’s cameras.
Vivo has kept the Ultra model exclusive to China so far, but that might change with the X300 Ultra. The Vivo X300 Ultra’s global version with the model number V2562 was reportedly spotted in the IMEI database, suggesting a launch outside of China. As for its debut in China, the X300 Ultra is expected to arrive in Q2 2026, so we still have a lot of time to learn more about the handset.
In addition to its camera specs, other key details about the Vivo X300 Ultra have been leaked, too. It could feature a new 6.8-inch flat OLED display with 2K resolution. The flagship will most likely be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. On the software front, it would presumably run OriginOS 6 with Android 16 out of the box.
It’s still too early to predict the Vivo X300 Ultra’s India launch, as the current details are purely speculative. However, its arrival could shake up the ultra-premium flagship segment, especially if it surpasses the Rs 1 lakh mark. For reference, the Vivo X200 Pro debuted in India at Rs 94,999, so an Ultra variant would almost certainly sit higher on the price ladder.
If the rumours hold, the Vivo X300 Ultra could be an ideal choice for photography enthusiasts or anyone seeking DSLR-level versatility straight from their smartphone.
