Vivo appears to be preparing another premium sub-flagship smartphone for the Indian market. According to tipster Debayan Roy, the Vivo X300T is currently in development for India and is expected to launch in the country, although the release is still some time away.
This is the first time the Vivo X300T has surfaced in leaks. Roy claims the phone is likely to follow a launch timeline similar to the Vivo X200T, which arrived in India in January 2026. While an exact launch window remains unclear, the leak indicates Vivo intends to continue expanding its premium X-series portfolio in India at a time when reports are floating about companies cancelling flagships due to the ongoing memory crisis.
Expected specifications and leaks
Interestingly, some users on Roy’s X post speculated that the Vivo X300T could simply be a rebranded version of the recently launched Vivo X300 E. However, Roy responded by saying that the Vivo X300 E itself may also launch in India, hinting that the two devices could coexist as separate models.
Since this is one of the first mentions of the Vivo X300T, we don’t know much about the specifications, but details about the X300 E and the predecessor X200T could give us context about the specifications and price. The Vivo X300 E features the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, paired with up to 12GB LPDDR5x RAM and 512GB UFS 4.1 storage. It sports a 6.59-inch flat AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. The phone packs a large 7,200mAh battery with 90W wired fast charging. For photography, it offers a Zeiss-tuned triple rear camera setup comprising a 50MP primary sensor with OIS, a 50MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom, and an 8MP ultrawide sensor. There’s also a 50MP front camera and an in-display 3D ultrasonic fingerprint scanner. In China, the handset starts at CNY 4,799 (around Rs 68,200).
Meanwhile, the Vivo X200T is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ processor and features a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 5,000 nits peak brightness. It also packs a 6,200mAh battery with 90W wired and 40W wireless charging, alongside a Zeiss-branded 50MP triple-camera system. It launched starting at Rs 59,999 for the 12GB + 256GB variant in India and is one of the few phones still available at its launch price, making it a steal deal.
Since the X200T was praised for its positioning, expectations from the Vivo X300T will naturally be high. However, users can expect an elevated price tag and may not get the same value proposition. The X300T is expected to compete with phones from iQOO and OnePlus’ R-series, besides Xiaomi’s T series. For buyers, it’s still too early to wait specifically for the X300T, but those planning an upgrade later this year may want to keep an eye on future leaks as more details emerge.
