With the Vivo X500 Pro Max allegedly spotted on the IMEI database a few weeks back, several new revelations have been made regarding the device in the last couple of days by Digital Chat Station (DCS), a notable Chinese tipster. Poised to be the fifth and highest-end member in the Vivo X500 series this year, the X500 Pro Max’s major screen specifications have been leaked, giving us an idea of what to expect from Vivo’s next all-out flagship.
While DCS hasn’t explicitly mentioned which phone is being referred to in the Weibo post, the comments and replies made by users suggest that the Vivo X500 Pro Max is being talked about here.
According to the latest information by DCS, the Vivo X500 Pro Max is currently undergoing testing with a 6.85-inch flat LIPO display manufactured by BOE. The panel is said to offer 2K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate, along with ultra-narrow bezels on all four sides and high-frequency PWM dimming for better eye comfort. BOE is a renowned name in the smartphone industry, which has partnered with multiple smartphone manufacturers in the past to supply them with premium-grade display panels.
For context, since the OnePlus 12, OnePlus has stuck with BOE to source the panels for its flagship smartphones, while the Vivo X300 and X300 Pro utilise BOE’s 1.5K Q10+ luminous material. Moving on, while answering a user’s query, Digital Chat Station states that even though the Vivo X500 Pro has yet to enter the testing phase, the battery capacity could start with ‘8’, indicating an 8,000mAh or above battery could be on board.
Even though the Vivo X500 Pro Max will be an entirely new model from Vivo, the rumoured screen and battery upgrades are significant over the X300 Pro, given the new details that have just emerged. With the screen resolution getting bumped up to 2K resolution, users can expect higher clarity over the X300 Pro, especially in supported apps, such as YouTube.
Similarly, the upgrade to an 8,000mAh (or higher) battery should deliver noticeably better endurance compared to the X300 Pro’s 6,510mAh cell, which already felt on the lower side against rivals like the OPPO Find X9 Pro and its massive 7,500mAh battery. Previously, leaks have pointed out that the Vivo X500 Pro and X500 Pro Max are likely to run on MediaTek Dimensity 9600 Pro, the chipset maker’s first 2nm mobile chipset that could feature significant efficiency gains.
As for the launch, the Vivo X500 series could follow a release timeline similar to last year, i.e. Q4 2026, with the global launch likely to happen in December 2026. For context, the Vivo X300 and X300 Pro landed in India on December 2nd, 2025.
