Vivo has increased the prices of five of its Y-series smartphones in India. The Vivo Y51 Pro now starts at Rs 32,999, while the Y31 5G has received a Rs 2,000 price hike. This comes shortly after the Vivo X300 FE became Rs 3,000 costlier in India. There’s no end to these price hikes as OEMs continue to face higher memory costs. Vivo Y-series price hike
The Vivo Y51 Pro now starts at Rs 32,999 for the base variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. It was earlier priced at Rs 30,999. The handset’s 8GB + 256GB variant is now available at Rs 37,999, after a price hike of Rs 4,000. The Y51 Pro comes with a large 7,200mAh battery, the MediaTek Dimensity 7360 SoC, and a 50MP primary sensor. You also get a 2MP auxiliary sensor and an 8MP front camera. Considering its price, the Vivo Y51 Pro now sits in a more premium segment where other phones might offer better features.
The Vivo Y31 5G comes in two variants: 6GB + 128GB and 6GB + 256GB, which now cost Rs 27,999 and Rs 31,999, respectively. In terms of specs, you get the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor, a 6,500mAh battery, a 50MP primary camera, and a 0.08MP secondary sensor. The chipset might seem underwhelming for this price segment, especially if you’re a power user.
The Vivo Y21 5G has received a price hike of Rs 1,500, bringing its price up to Rs 22,499 from Rs 20,999. The 6GB + 128GB variant, which used to cost Rs 23,999, is now priced at Rs 26,499.
In the budget segment, the Vivo Y11 5G and Y19s have received price hikes. While both phones are still priced under Rs 20,000, the handsets are still costlier by Rs 1,000. The Vivo Y11 is priced at Rs 17,999, while the Vivo Y19s costs Rs 17,499 for the base variant.
