Vivo is preparing to add another smartphone to its Y-series lineup in India. The Vivo Y31T has surfaced ahead of its launch, with a report sharing its key specifications and a first look at the rear design. The phone is expected to focus on battery life and durability, while reportedly targeting the offline market in the Rs 25,000 segment.
Vivo Y31T expected specifications
As per the Xpertpick report, the Vivo Y31T is tipped to feature a 6.75-inch HD+ LCD display with a peak brightness of up to 1,250 nits in High Brightness Mode. It could be powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset and use UFS 2.2 storage. The reported configurations include 4GB RAM with 128GB storage, 6GB RAM with 128GB storage and 6GB RAM with 256GB storage. The phone is also expected to support expandable storage.
Battery life could be the Y31T’s biggest selling point. The smartphone is tipped to pack a 7,200mAh battery with 44W fast charging, while still measuring only 8.39mm thick. It is also expected to feature IP66 and IP68 ratings for dust and water resistance, along with SGS certification. For photography, the Y31T could get a 50MP primary rear camera paired with a 2MP secondary sensor, while an 8MP camera is expected on the front. The phone is said to run OriginOS 6, although its Android version has not been revealed.
Vivo Y31T design looks familiar
The leaked image shows the Y31T with a flat frame and a rectangular camera module at the top-left corner. The module houses two vertically stacked camera cutouts, with the flash positioned alongside them. Vivo branding is visible on the lower-left portion of the rear panel. The overall design looks similar to the iQOO Z11x. The difference in the leaked Vivo model is the branding, with the Y31T carrying Vivo’s logo rather than iQOO branding.
Vivo Y31T expected pricing
Vivo has not confirmed the Y31T’s price or launch date. However, the tipster suggests that it could be priced around Rs 25,000 to Rs 30,000. It is expected to be available in Crimson Red, Gold Mist and Seashore Green. At this price, the Y31T will face competition from phones such as the OPPO A6 5G, which starts at Rs 26,999. The Y31T’s 7,200mAh battery gives it a clear advantage for users who prioritise endurance, but the HD+ LCD display and Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 are modest for this segment.
If Vivo keeps the Y31T closer to Rs 25,000, its battery, durability ratings and offline availability could make it a reasonable choice. Buyers focused on display quality or performance, however, may find better-equipped alternatives at a similar price.
