The TV FX Mini LED series uses QD-Mini LED with Full Array Local Dimming, which should improve brightness control, black levels and overall picture quality. Xiaomi says the TVs can cover up to 93% of the DCI-P3 colour gamut, and they also support HDR10+, HLG and Filmmaker Mode. For viewers, that should mean richer colours and a more cinematic image.
Xiaomi has used Fire TV instead of Google TV on this lineup. The platform brings access to more than 12,000 apps, along with profiles, parental controls, Apple AirPlay 2 and Alexa support. The TV also gets Quick Wake, which powers it on in under five seconds for a faster start-up experience.
The lineup also includes gaming-friendly features such as ALLM, MEMC, HDMI 2.1 support on one port and eARC for soundbars. Xiaomi says the larger models also use a four-driver speaker setup, while the 43-inch version gets a dual-speaker system.
