The Phone is too costly ! It is around Rs.4600/- which is the cost of a average multimedia phone in the market. A mobile with Basic display and big pads are much more simpler to manufacture. Why the company trying to increase their income by taking advantage of the senior citizen?
Good Concept
Too Costly
Its almost more than six months now, I bought this mobile for my dad, who is @ 70s. Its very difficult for him to adjust to new technology. So I chose this mobile. The purpose of this mobile is to make Senior citizens more comfortable with the latest technology. This mobile has all the features requested/required by Seniors. 1. It has large keypad with large and bold keys. 2 It has SOS button, which helps them in calling dear one when in Emergency. 3. Single buttons for Bluetooth etc.\ 4. Single slider for Torch. 5. To start Camera. Only issue I faced during this period, it sometimes tend to switch off automatically. Rest all its a good mobile.
I bought this mobile phone specifically for my in-laws. They are totally satisfied by the product. The digits are big and clear, the volume of the ring tones are loud enough for even my hard-of-hearing Father in law to hear. The in-call volume (adjustable) is also loud and clear, much to his satisfaction. What I found particularly thoughtful was the 'SOS' feature. At the press of a single key (at the back, so it is easily identifiable) it automatically sends out a call to five preset numbers, informing the recipients of an emergency. The phone is also a bit big compared to the small sleek models that are popular, but this too is an asset, as it is easier for them to grip and doesn't get easily misplaced. Another plus-feature is the charging stand. My in-laws found it much easier to just place it in the stand for charging rather than struggle with the thin delicate charging pins and small, almost invisible (according to my Mother in law) sockets. The only disadvantage we found, (which is not a real issue) is the placement of the volume buttons. They are on the side, and invariably while conversing, my Father in law would often keep the volume button depressed. Thus the volume during the next call would be rather faint - much to his irritation. After we finally realized how the volume would get mysteriously reduced, we convinced him not to grip the device so tightly. There have been no complaints since. Overall it is a very good and practical product for senior citizens.
This phone is ideal for my elders(50+) . I had gifted for my dad, and he is loving it. I have put old songs of kishore kumar/Mukesh in free 2gb memory card. He enjoys those songs very well , put up ringtones, etc. SOS function is also good. when you dial a number, phone speaks out the number which was press which is also very good feature. All and all its good phone.
An Excellent phone with very apt features which can be easily used by the Senior Citizens. I am very happy that iball really cares for our elders. Hats-off to the research team in bringing out such a wonderful product.
