Itel A100 Pro 4G Expert Review Summary
Expert Rating:
7.6/10
Verdict
The itel A100 Pro is a practical budget phone with a decent display, okay everyday performance, and a good selfie camera. Its weak battery life and very slow charging are the main drawbacks. It is fine for very basic use, but if you can spend a little more, better options are available.
Pros
- Eye-catching design
- Satisfactory visuals
- Decent everyday performance
- Good selfie camera
Cons
- Rapid battery drain
- Slow charging speed
Design: same, same, but different
+
The itel A100 Pro follows the same basic design language as the Zeno 200, but the drop notch and slightly different camera layout give it a more traditional look. The bright orange finish remains the key element. Compared with its elder sibling, it tones things down a little and skips the extra IP protection, relying instead on military-grade durability to keep costs in check.

Display and speakers: good enough for everyday use
+
The itel A100 Pro comes with a 6.56-inch HD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate and 400 nits of peak brightness. It is a decent panel for the price, with acceptable colours and enough brightness for indoor use, though it does not feel as bright or as smooth as the Zeno 200. The single-speaker setup is serviceable for basic media use and can get reasonably loud. It does the job for this segment, but a stereo setup would have improved the multimedia experience.

Cameras: a simple point-and-shoot experience
+
The itel A100 Pro comes with a basic 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera, and it is clearly tuned for casual point-and-shoot use. In daylight, the rear camera captures usable photos with decent colour and contrast, though detail is limited. Low light is where it struggles badly, with soft images, visible noise, and very little detail since there is no dedicated night mode. The selfie camera is similarly modest, doing fine in bright conditions but losing detail once the light drops.

Performance and software: just about enough
+
The itel A100 Pro runs on a Unisoc T7100 chipset with up to 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, so performance is only just enough for the basics. There is some lag while scrolling, switching apps, or browsing social media, and heavier gaming is not really its strong point. The software runs on Android 15 Go and keeps things simple, with the Dynamic Island-style alert bar adding a bit of character. It also feels fairly clean out of the box, with very few preloaded apps, which makes the overall experience a little lighter and easier to live with.

Battery: It drains a bit too much
+
The itel A100 Pro comes with a 5,000mAh battery and 10W charging support, but endurance is a weak point. Our lab tests showed a 34 percent drop over a little more than 2 hours of mixed use, which points to around 5 hours of screen on time on a normal day. That is not very reassuring for an everyday phone, especially if you are away from a charger for long stretches. Charging is slow too, taking around 3 hours from 20 to 100 percent, so overnight top-ups are the safer option.
