Lots of SSSss... for this drive: Solid, Smart, Sturdy, Sleek, Small, and Superb. Definitely recommendable. The way it looks, feels in hands, I am just impressed, very impressed. Like one writer said: “Maar daala pajaama phaar dala”.nnIf you looking for good looks, and solid drive, were average performance will do -– this is it! nnHowever, please be aware that (1) There is NO light indicator, (2) I heats up a little bit, (3) Its Write speed is barely OK, (Read speed is fairly good).nnFollowing were benchmark results:n(1) Read Rate:nAvg: 19.8 Mb/s, Max: 20.4 Mb/s, Min: 17.3 Mb/snn(2) Write Rate:nAvg: 1.8 Mb/s, Max: 15.8 Mb/s, Min: 720.6 Kb/snn(3) Access Time: 0.6 msnnMachine: Dell laptop, Core i5, 4 Gib RAM, USB3 port;nSoftware: Running Linux Mint 13 OS (NOT Windows); Disk Utility.nBenchmark performed on Raw USB Disk (without partition or file-system).

I ran CrystalDiskMark 3.0.1 Speed Test of 50 MB on the SE9 8GB, the following are the resultsnRead Speed : 22.77 MB/snWrite Speed : 15.12 MB/snnUndoubtedly the Transfer Rate is GOOD!nBut the MAJOR PROBLEM with the SE9 is HEAT. I just plugged the SE9 for the Speed Test & it seemed to HEAT UP pretty quick! So if you don't have problem with the HEAT the SE9 is AWESOME.
