The Mob looks good but has outdated specs. It don't have 3G, only 256 RAM and Gingerbread.. It is not a spec of a smartphone running Android. What is utility of a smartphone if you cant run any application and there is no space to install as there is only less than 200 MB free. Nothing worth buying.. totally waste of money.. consider Galaxy Star instead..nnPros:n1) 4-inch Capacitive Touchscreenn2) Dual Standby SIM (GSM + GSM)n3) Wi-Fi EnablednnCons:n1) Old (Ancient?) Android v2.3.5 Gingerbread OSn2) 1 GHz Processor of unknown make.. probably Spreadtrum processor..n3) No 3Gn4) Only 256 MB RAM, 512 MB ROM (Less than 200 MB free)- Too low for today..
It's now over a month since I bought this phone from flipkart. I've always been a Nokia user so switching to an Android phone took a lot of thinking. Anyway my only purpose of purchase was to check emails and watch videos, so looked only for a budget phone. From that perspective, this phone delivers. Watching videos on this 4-inch phone is a good experience and I also can check emails or browse sites smoothly. The color display is 16M and I think that helps with the clarify of the pics viewed on the screen.nnI cannot talk about camera as its 3mp which is ok.nnYou can enjoy whatsapp without any problem as it can be installed on the SD card. You can even watch youtube videos without much buffering, even with 2G connection(I recommend airtel). nnThe only concern for me are its internal memory and tendency to hang. The memory is low but that has not stopped me from checking my emails, storing pics or videos. I read online that you can root the device so that some apps which are supposed to be only on phone can still be moved to SD card. But I don't want to take that risk as I heard any wrong step can render the phone completely useless. So, before I install any 'phone only' app from Playstore, I ask myself if it's really important :) Although I keep getting 'low on space' notification, I only need to 'stop' certain apps like mobile facebook that helps the situation. For facebook, I just use Opera mini browser which still serves the purpose.nnAnd ya, when the phone is idle for long, it tends to hang! Dunno why...so when it prompts 'force close/wait' I click wait and wait for 15secs or so for it to be fine again. On few occasions I reboot but thankfully that's very less.nnBesides those 2 cons, be also careful about battery. Downloading apps or big videos is what consumes the battery mainly. Otherwise it lasts for atleast 2 days in my experience.nnIt serves my purpose(checking mail, long whatsapp usage, watching youtube/movies..). Maybe not lava-ble, but am content :)
