hello!!! i have bought this device after a HUGE amount of research...(wasnt quite getting what i wanted) but then i saw this and saw a review saying the camera is awesome and went for it ...and yes the camera stands out for the price....i had gionee m2 in my mind but suddenly spotted this beauty and clicked tht button...PROS----- 1)screen--HD resolution 267 ppi(decent)..2)built is awesome and gives a premium feel 3)configuration....although the 4 gb internal might be a deal breaker for some...it is livable for me...4)touch is decent if not great...5)camera is AWESOME!!!! 6)Headphone are good but read the cons .....7)not tht heavy ,...easy to handle...CONS---1)loudspeaker is not tht great...dissapointing...2)the music from the device is shit....might be coz of a stock android music play back system...need to find a better alternative....i used ma old nokia 5230 to check the bundled headphones...and they gave a good quality sound with thump....the only feeling missing in this device is the thump...u wont appreciate bass without it........BUT PPL THIS KINDA PHONE AT THIS PRICE RANGE IS A STEAL I MUST SAY.....GO FOR IT IF IT HAS WHAT U REALLY WANT....WILL UPDATE LATER...hope it works fine cuz i feel a bit uneasy with the brand....lastly thank u flippie for the outstanding service!!!!
I recently got the Lava Iris 550q and I am quite impressed with this phone. The company claims that this phone is ‘One giant that’s easy to handle’, and boy does that stand true. With a screen size of 5.5 inches, this phone truly dwarfs most of the phones in the market. But all credit to Lava, for designing the phone to be sleek, stylish and light (weighing just 177gms). The USP of the phone is the screen resolution of 720x1280 (HD), which provides amazing clarity and a fine blend of colors. On the technical front, the Lava Iris 550q comes with 1.2 GHz quadcore processor which makes the phone quite fast in operation. The 1 GB RAM provides able backing to the processor, with the set ensuring the phone doesn’t hang when the user is using heavy duty apps. The internal memory of Lava Iris 550q is 4 GB, with external memory expandable up to 32 GB. I personally use a 16 GB memory card which I’ve filled almost to the brim with music, images and files from work. I am glad to say that even after being almost full in memory space, the phone hasn’t slowed down a bit, thanks to its processor. The camera quality is another feature I am particular about as I don’t really like carrying a separate camera when on tour. This phone comes with a primary camera of 8 mp, which enables me to capture quality pictures with every click. The dim light imagery of the phone is also something to note. The secondary camera too is a quality 2 mp, comes in handy whenever required. The operating system in the Lava Iris 550q is Android 4.2 Jelly Bean which is a great addition to a great phone. But for a few minor battery issues, this phone is a winner in every aspect.
