I buy this product 1 weak ago not from flipkart because flipkart doesn't provide delivery in my location. After using it for 1 weak here are the pros and cons I found in this device. Pros : 1) A nice and good looking accutype backlight keyboard . All keys have good spacing and typing on is very comfortable . 2) Faster booting .The windows 8.1 will boot within 15-20s. 3) Hybrid hard disk drive helps to open apps much faster and make it stable. 4) The Intel core i5 is faster and will turbo boost itself frequently when a load is coming . The cpu will overclock up to 2.70 gh without any delay and will continue turbo boosting for hours if necessary. 5) Touch screen is very smooth and responsive. The touch screen help to quickly select and scroll down pages. The touch screen also works perfectly with desktop applications and games. 6) Comes with latest update i.e. windows 8.1 update 1. 7) It has two gpu i.e. the Intel 4400 when games are not playing and Nvidia gforce 820m for gaming. The gpu switching is faster. I am not a hardcore gamer but I just try some games like nfs run, call of duty black opps ,skyrim ,eurotruck . All games works perfectly on high and ultra settings although default settings is high. 8) Cooler and slim machine .The laptop never heat extremely even on high gaming and it is also a silent machine. 9) Elegant design with full metallic body. The graphite grey is cooler and beautiful. Cons: 1) Low battery life .The battery will last for maximum 3.5 hours on 75% brightness with Wi-Fi on and 1-1.5 hours on gaming. 2) The screen quality is so poor as it has no anti reflecting coating . The brightness is good only on 100%. So it require at least 80% of brightness for day operation which will impact battery life. So my verdict is if you are not a hardcore gamer like me who only give priority to design then this laptop definitely fit for you. The battery life can be upto 4 hours if you are in airplane mode. I mainly use my laptop for entertainment purpose , programing , photoshoping , and surfing web and these operation work perfectly without delay crashing. The touch screen and windows experiment is soo good and enjoyable.
Earlier I rated just 4 but now I'm changing it to 5... because I'm bowled out by the instant service provided by Lenovo.. As I said in my review earlier below, the keypad is delicate and with no surprise I had problems with one of the keys.. But as I made a call to Leno Support within no time a new keypad is shipped to Trivandrum and replaced very next day at my doorstep.. Thisz wonderful.. isn't it? Even Flipkart cant deliver here anything very next day... Great job by Leno.. *************************************************** My search for a decent laptop almost drived me crasy.. didn't want to spend more than 40k and wanted a 4th Gen i3/i5, 2GB graphic card, backlit keyboard and a sturdy machine.. but all in vain.. I wasn't satisfied with quality of Dell/HP machines below 60K, so had no other choice to settle down to Lenovo. Made a 1000 thoughts to decide between this and y510p, but finally hold myself not to spend more than 50K, so the final option left was Flex 2-14. If you can afford then blindly go for Y510p because it's an absolute killer with it's strong body and quality but only draw back is it doesn't sport a touch screen This machine is also awesome and check my experience as below Pros: 1) Top rating to boot up rate... believe me it's super fast.. less than 5secs. I've loaded this with 250GB music files & videos. still no compromise.. I love this aspect a lot. But wait.. when it's time for window's updates then propably no one can helps us.. and surely you will loose interest over Windows 2) Amazing sound quality.. might not be the best but cant bet anything more with such a light machine weighing less than 2kgs 3) Decent battery back up, at least to my experience.. On full recharge I find this to provide not less than 4hrs with continuous net browsing.. of course didn't test with any games so far.. I think this not at all bad but more than acceptable.. at least I didn't find any other laptop matching to this with such feature packed ones. It looks like most of the users keep their laptops on charging for most of the time although their battery is full. This will definitely kill the battery performance. My advise is don't charge until it falls less than 10% and only then you can gain the best life from your battery 4) I think I needn't add anything about Nvidia 15V-GM 2GB graphic card and hope everyone knows it's performance. 5) Great response with touch.. I might have not used the best ones before so far this is exceptional for me. 6) Very light and super comfortable for travelling 7) Everything else in this is of decent quality with sturdiness except the keypad which looks very sensitive 8) Although provided with metallic body, hardly/so far felt any heat or noise.. don't know if I didn't experience this yet or the machine so cool... But I can say that we can find good sized vents on the left side and I think that is helping this Cons: 1) Keypad looks delicate although well organised space and backlit facility 2) Highly reflective screen.. almost unusable for outdoor purpose.. although it is satisfied for indoor use 3) No optical disc drive... major draw back. 4) I feel like slightly over priced ;) Flipkart wasn't able to deliver to Trivandrum so bought from Leno Online Shop, thedostore.com which is equally good like flipkart. ATB!
I've been using this laptop for 3 months now. I'm satisfied with its performance. PROs: Fast bootup time (SSD helps) Lightweight Audio is good Cons Low battery, last only 2-3 hours on full charge Getting the perfect brightness is an issue, screen isn't that great.
First of all, Kudos to Flipkart and seller "dunestech" for the fast delivery. Pros: [1] Decent specs & design [2] No overheating issues whatsoever, in both Windows and Linux [3] Very handy [4] Good backlit keyboard [5] Deadly silent operation [6] Good touchscreen [7] Widows boots within 5 seconds [8] Good clarity speakers [9] Battery back-up of 3Hrs on average use Cons: [1] Heavier than I thought. Bottom Line: Read the title
Pros : Speed and features good, Touch pad little sluggish touch screen fairly good. Light Weight, Cons : Battery Life, Doesn't have a CD drive. Overall a decent reasonably priced product.
