The Lenovo essential B490 (59-356128) has been built for those who can't afford to spend too much in buying a laptop but need one for meeting basic computing needs. It flaunts a sharp display, a HD webcam, an optical drive and four USB ports. And in order to justify the price, you will have to bear with the outdated configuration and buy a separate OS.

The Lenovo essential B490 (59-356128) arrives with a 14.1-inch HD LED backlit display which provides sharp viewing experience with a WXGA resolution of 1,366 x 768 pixels. It comes in an all black body which has a weight of just 2.1kg so that you don't face too much discomfort while carrying it around.
 
Processor and OS
 
At the heart of the device there is a 2.2 GHz Intel Pentium B960 processor from the 2nd generation series and based on HM65 Express chipset. The CPU works in combination with a 2GB DDR3 RAM whose capacity can be bolstered up to 8GB via the two unused DIMM slots. The responsibility of handling rich videos and games is given to the integrated Intel HD 4000 GPU. It doesn't have any preloaded OS which is completely normal considering the price.
