The Lenovo Ideapad E430 (3254-AM4) is a good all round performance laptop with a balance between power and utility. You can enjoy high quality video viewing on its great display and also work with ease due to the ample connectivity options. If you are looking for an affordable moderately powerful laptop, the Lenovo does not disappoint.

Display, configuration and OS

The Lenovo IdeaPad E430 features a 14 inch HD anti glare display with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels to ensure comfortable viewing at any angle without any damage to the eyes during long hours of usage.

It is powered by a 2.2Ghz intel i3 2nd gen processor using ivy bridging alongside a 2GB DDR3 RAM, which can be upgraded to 4GB using the RAM slots provided. The Graphics are handled by Intel HD 3000 GPU which does a decent job of playing HD videos with ease.

The best thing about it is that, as it comes with a DOS, you can install any OS on it that you see fit for your purposes.

Camera, storage and multimedia

The Laptop comes equipped with a webcam to aid in videocalling. The storage is managed by a 500GB HDD which runs a 7200 Rpm giving a much higher read-write speed compared to other laptops. The DVD RW comes in handy to save and add new media and other important documents. The Ultranav keyboard makes typing very easy and the sound is rich due to HD sound solution.

Connectivity and Battery

Connectivity options that are included in the device are Ethernet, WLAN with hotspot creation, HDMI port, VGA port, Digital media reader, Bluetooth, 1 USB 3.0 port and 2 USB 2.0 ports.

All this is powered by a 6 cell Li-Ion battery at 70W to provide over 4 hours of moderate usage.
