Overall: Well i purchased this laptop from flipkart on feb-10-2014...It came with ms doshowever i installed win 7....since this laptop came with driver cd it was not difficult to find the required drivers...The product was deliverd on the promised date.....

Verdict
Despite being easily purchasable, the Lenovo essential G505 (59-379528) comes with some features which are hardly seen in many higher priced notebooks. Some of them include a solid battery backup, 2 high speed USB ports, DVD RW Drive and latest Dolby speakers. Its poor configuration is justified considering the price and is fit for simple tasks only.

Display and Design
 
The Lenovo essential G505 (59-379528) comes with a 15.6-inch HD LED backlit display that poses the standard WXGA resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels. Encased in a 34 mm thick black colored body with a weight of 2.6kg, this package does look good with a slightly glossy finish but can create troubles when you carry it over a long distance.
 
Processor and OS
 
The core of the laptop is configured with a 1.5GHz AMD APU Quad Core A4-5000 processor functioning along with 2MB of cache memory. The CPU is assisted by a meagre DDR3 RAM of just 2GB whose capacity can be expanded up to 4GB. The AMD Radeon HD 8330 graphics card gives you an audio treat while playing games and videos.
