Verdict
The Lenovo essential G510 (59-398431) is an impressive processor within a decent price, especially if you want to purchase it for fulfilling everyday business needs. The chunky body will however act as a barrier in terms of portability. A poor RAM and the absence of an user friendly OS are justified considering the price.
Impressive but affordable package
Display and Design
 
The Lenovo essential G510 (59-398431) arrives with a 15.6-inch HD LED backlit display which exhibits pictures and videos at a resolution of 1,366 x 768 pixels, also known as WXGA. It is packed in a 34mm thick black colored body which is definitely too thick for you to carry it around easily.
 
CPU and Platform
 
The credit for running the processes of the laptop goes to the 4th generation Intel Core i3 processor sprinting at 2.4 GHz and paired with the HM86 Express chipset. To support the processor, there is a mere 2GB DDR3 RAM. You can of course increase the RAM’s capacity up to 16GB through the 2 unused memory slots. The laptop utilizes the built in Intel HD 4600 GPU for handling graphics. The laptop comes preloaded with DOS.
 
Camera, Storage and Multimedia
 
A VGA webcam combined with an analog microphone takes care of the user’s video calling needs. The Lenovo essential G510 (59-398431) houses a 500 GB SATA HDD operating at 5400 rpm. You can even use the DVD RW Drive for storing info on disks and playing back them whenever necessary.
