User Reviews for Lenovo essential G580 (59-349281) (Core i3 2nd Gen/4 GB/320 GB/Windows 7) Laptop

I have done a lot of research(visited 4-5 showrooms, read online reviews, compared best laptops around Rs. 35,000 etc.)...and selected two models i.e. this laptop and Acer aspire v5-571g...finally I opted to go for this laptop(even though acer model had a better graphics card i.e. 525m(now known as 620m)) because it had i3-2328 2.2Ghz while acer model(in Rs. 35k range) had i3-2367 1.4Ghz and I had my doubts over its ultra-thin durability...anyway, after buying this model, I wanted to re-assure myself that I had taken the right decision so compared it with all other branded laptops within Rs. 35,000, and to put it truly "I am very relieved and satisfied with my decision"... pros: 1. all round laptop(latest sandy bridge i3 processor, decent gpu..) 2. genuine windows 7 home basic(very important as a genuine CD costs Rs. 5000+) 3. apart from low power integrated intel HD 3000, 1gb nvidia 610m(remodelled 520m) GPU(some latest games like diablo 3, skyrim, gta4 can be run at low settings) 4. good battery backup(5+..even 6 hrs with no brightness, guaranteed 3+ hrs for video/internet use) 5. sound is great...screen display too is decent 6. stylish looking...chiclet type keyboard cons: 1. I hate the glossy build(even trackpad), which acts as a fingerprint magnet, very irritating.. 2. didnt use cam much..but, 0.3 MP might seem less 3. serious gamers, sorry this baby is not for u... 4. Not a con but if u compare i3 with i5(or i7), obviously, i3 has some limitations... U might wonder, within this price range(around Rs. 35,000) why not buy Lenovo G580 3rd Gen i5 model as it also has slightly better GPU(intel HD 4000)? But, remember, it is a "DOS model"...if u wanna upgrade to windows 7(xp might not work), add atleast Rs. 5000 extra to your budget...else, settle for a cheap, pirated windows 7(hard to find too) for your brand new laptop(...which, I don't suggest)... Well, to be frank, we can't expect everything within Rs. 35,000...if you want higher configuration, only option is to increase your budget... Flipkart is offering the best price..in showroom, this model costs Rs. 36,800..finally, I am happy with my first laptop :)

i have been using this laptop since last 6 months and it is unbeliveable......it has a realy good keyboard....it stays realy cool temp all the time (except while heavy gaming)..... battery last arround 4 hours .it has a beautiful displaygiving you cris quality visuals.... processor never laggs..... it has a remoddled a better graphic card which is nvidia gt 610m..... and the most useful thing...it has usb 3.0........THIS LAPTOP IS FOR CASUAL GAMERS...NOT HARDCORE ...because it lags a little on high graphichs....you get arround 15fps

I have used this product and i keeps it on 12 hours a day.It has got good heating system and doesn't gets so hot like my another Dell laptop. I have used it and found these games playing without any lags: 1.NFSmost wanted 2012(Medium settings) 2.Crysis 3 in high 3.Assassin creed 3 in ultra 4.Fifa 13 in ultra 5.Max payne 3 in high 6.GTA 4 Medium-high 7.Black ops 2 in high 8.Battlefield 3 in medium-high 9.Mass effect 3 in high 10.Darkness 2 in ultra 11.Dirt 3 in ultra 12.Skyrim in high 13.Metal gear rising :solid in medium - high and many more ........ I reccommends this laptop for gamers
