The Lenovo Miix2 looks like a great tablet with many features that could turn even the potential iPad buyers towards it. With it’s extremely competitive pricing and great CPU and GPU performance, its a worthwhile buy.
Display and configuration
Lenovo Miix 2, following an upgrade from the earlier Miix, now features an absolutely beautiful 8 inch IPS LCD display with an extremely wide viewing angle of 178 degrees and with a display resolution of 1280x800 pixels and 16 million colours to make videos look crisp and vibrant. Under the hood is the real upgrade, with Intel’s fresh off the table quad core BayTrail processor based on the Atom complete with Intel’s 4000 series of GPU to run HD videos and games without any glitches. The windows 8.1 OS completes the trio and offers a refreshing new and improved 10 point multi touch feature.
Camera and Storage
Lenovo packs in a dual cameras with the primary shooter being a 5MP one and secondary 2MP. Both the cameras do pretty well in their respective departments, although the low light shooting from the primary cam isn't all that great and the front cam gives pictures that are slightly grainy, but then again, people don't really buy tablets simply for the cameras.
Lenovo packs in a massive 128GB eMMC storage on the device to dump in almost any HD media you might want to carry along, and not only that, but to satisfy some consumers for whom even this might be low, an external 32GB memory can be added via microSD.
