Decent, budget Ultrabook

I purchased this laptop from a prominent electronics chain (not naming this one), the price there was lower than the price on this site (right now, Rs. 51320). Lenovo laptops usually are solid, well-built machines with good keyboards. This one is no exception. Well constructed with plenty of aluminum on the body, this one is a stunner. There are thinner laptops in the Ultrabook segment, but this is no obese machine. Performance is good for regular office and the occasional multimedia application. The laptop runs cool throughout. The keyboard is easy to type on. However, there is a bit of flex in the keyboard but it should not cause trouble normally. Battery life is decent for Ultrabook range but not to the extent mentioned in the specifications.

A good deal

It's a decent laptop that's proving itself a reliable workhorse for me. Nothing great about it, but then, there's nothing to complain too. The best points are the looks, a decent performance, a big trackpad and light weight. The not so good points are the display (average), small enter/backspace/delete/shift keys, not much graphics and average battery life. But for the price point, nothing to complain much about the shortfall. I have been using it for couple of weeks now and I am happy with it. It runs some of my serious simulation software with ease. And it was easy to carry around. The battery life is not as great as they claim. It has just enough juice to last some 5 hours. And yes, it got glances in public. Also, lenovo's support has been pathetic. I called them up to clarify some issues with wireless card and the only solution the support could offer is to press the one time recovery and restore original factory settings. When I said that it would mean I would have to reinstall a lot of my stuff, I got no sympathy. And no assurance that this trick would work. So yeah, you are mostly on your own with this laptop.

careful lenovo!

I haven't bought this product. That's why I won't rate it. The products specs look amazing on paper.Processor,OS,storage capacity, etc.I really like the design as well. However,at the end of the day,it's looks exactly like a macbook pro. And,as it is way cheaper, the people at california might sue lenovo.
