Display, Build and Design
The Lenovo Thinkpad X240 (20AMA1XM00) Ultrabook comes with a compact but effective 12.5-inch HD LED Anti-Glare display with 1,366 x 768 pixel resolution that provides good viewing experience. It is quite slim with a waistline of 20.3mm and is also lightweight at around 1.3Kgs. The flat and sharp edged body gives it a decent and attractive look.
Configuration and OS
The laptop is powered by the Intel Core i3-4010U of 4th generation and operates at 1.7GHz. It is further coupled with 4GB of DDR3 RAM for a smooth performance. The inbuilt Intel HD 4400 graphics provides good hold over gaming and multimedia. However, it lacks any user friendly OS and runs on DOS.
Camera, Multimedia and Storage
Through its webcam and inbuilt microphone, voice and video calling has been made easy and enjoyable. The stereo speakers are powered by HD Audio Solution and delivers good sound quality. To store data, the 500GB SATA HDD operates at 7,200RPM and provides good storage space.
Battery and connectivity
The laptop is powered by a 6 cell Li-ion battery that claims to deliver upto 9 hours of battery backup. In terms of connectivity, the laptop comes with an Ethernet port to connect to the Internet Local Area Network and the Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n allows access to the Internet. The Bluetooth v4.0, a USB3.0 slot, a USB 2.0 slot and an HDMI port are present for sharing data. Other options include a microphone jack, a headphone jack and a digital media reader. The touchpad and a backlit keyboard provides easy and enjoyable usage.
