Amazing picture and Future Proof

Firstly I bought this from a retailer at 68k when flipkart was quoting 67k. I am a techie person so when i go for features I exploit them for sure.nNow I bought this TV after reading only positive reviews throughout the net across the globe. The European model is named UB820V(for youtube videos). I always thought that the image upscaling features was a gimmick and marketing strategy, but it was only when i took some 720p and 1080p movies in a pen drive to test and i was speechless by the picture quality that turned out to be compared to my full hd monitor and Tv. Simply superb. nnThe best part being hvec coder and this tv plays almost anything. I played a 2gb print in another Tv and audio wasn't supported, but no such problem with this model. Also it could read an 8gig movie in the blink of an eye. The magic remote is easy to use and this TV has tones of features (very imp intel WIDI for sharing your laptop screen over wifi). i love wirelessly connecting my phone to show pictures taken to my family.nnnUnlike some of the comments here this TV can display 4k at 60hz, as it has got special HDMI ports (please read manual). Also i think it has got a USB3 port but i couldn't test as i lost my cable but loading of data was pretty quick.nthe black levels are good and the sound is filling as well. Looks wise this a very slim model with no physical bezel only some tiny black border inside screen. great brightness levels.nnAlso the magic remote is a universal remote you just have to set it up for your device, can even control DTH however i got videocon HD comes with RF remote so my DTH doesn't read IR signals, also sadly after i UPDATED the latest firmware the options of tat sky, videocon etc from universal remote setup vanished.nnnIf you want to use the recording feature you need to connect your DTH through RCA cables, why pay DTH companies for recording feature, connect an external HDD and record using your TV and enjoy.nTo conclude I went at least 15k over my budget for this model but it was worth every penny and would recommend with a 9/10 rating. I'll add one point when LG introduces latest WebOS to this Tv.

Amazing TV and picture clarity.

The TV picture clarity is beyond compare, it upscale my HD feed to UHD which improves the picture quality more. the difference is not visible in normal SD connection, so an HD connection (or the new TATA sky 4k) connection is a must have to enjoy this TV. nnPros - n1. Ultra clear picture clarity with IPS paneln2. USB plays almost everything and supports even 2TB HDDn3. Miracast and Intel WiDi allow to connect Laptops wirelessly. n4. Magic remote is like nintendo wii married to LG TV. and the remote can be configured to control your DTH so no two separate remote required. n5. TruMotion makes the movie watching experience smooth (though i dont prefer trumotion on regular shows... thats just me, the feature is amazing) nCons - nI am yet to find a con which makes this TV a deal breaker but i will nitpick a few. nn1. Sound quality is amazing and clarity is brilliant, but the speakers are not ultra loud. they are loud, not extremely loud. (the sound volume varies from input to input) n2. Price - 68K for a TV is pushing it and there is an LG TV (42LB5820) will all the same feature with an FHD panel for 49K. so basically you pay 19K extra for 4K and you get the magic remote free (worth 5k in the market) but, another way of looking at it is that TV's are long term purchase and you are not going to buy one for another 6-7 years so its worth the extra 19k to be future proof. (better than buying a 30 - 40K phone every 2 years) n3. I have had issues with screen mirroring on my note 3, works well for all other devices but my note 3 keeps giving hardware error. (my research tells me that its an issue with the exynos processor on samsung devices and usually requires phone reset) still a con as i cannot screen mirror, but casting video to the tv from my note 3 works. nnnAll those thing that smart tv get oudated as android tv are coming along, all you need is a good panel (which this TV has) and by an android TV box and connect to this TV. nnIn a nut-shell - I had initially ordered 42LB5820 but my decision making told me i had to be future proof and weather you like it or not or you say there is no difference between FHD and 4k from long distance, the industry is moving towards 4K and this is one of the cheapest 4K TVs in the market. So i cancelled that and ordered this one. This TV gets full rating from my end and i have no regrets in paying the extra 18K for a 4K panel, after all, TV is all about the screen.

Amazing

as i noted there has been a lot of confusion regarding whether it has hdmi 2.0.The answer is YES YES YES it has 3 hdmi 2.0 and one of them also supports hdcp 2.2 the standard for playing future 4k blurays and yes i agree with you that when it launched the manufacturer site was mentioning that it contains hdmi 1.4 but no that is not the case.I have read many reviews of the tv and came to know the manual states otherwise. Now even if you visit the lg.co.in website and search for this tv specs you will see they mentioned hdmi 4k60p thus justifying my writing this review

This is a beast and really a future buy product

I've no words to describe the feel, it adds beauty to my living room and my family is around it always. There are few points which I could narrate so you can get some idea on usability of this product.nnPron:nUltra HD 4K resolution so if you are buying HD TV, you may be loosing some pixels. Even HD channels are up scaled so you don't really always need a 4k content.nnThis TV got a strong IPS pannel which will support you in future also so you are not gonna outdated anytime in near futurennSound is really nice and sometimes it feels a small home theatrennCinema Screen is a plus and watching movies are better than other TV screensnnI'm fan of Sony in terms of colors and vivid picture quality but this product has shown that LG is sometimes better in delivering quality. with Superb picture quality you may discover some extra wrinkles, makeup layers and blackheads on actor/actress's faces lolnnTilt bracket is a big plus which lets you to move TV 1 foot in front and almost in any direction which eases to use the back and side connectors and even cleaning is very easy. TV design is also very slim and sturdynnnCons:nNo 3D: If you really care. My all friends recommended not to go with 3D who are using it.nnNo WebOS: This TV comes with Netcast 4.5 while LG is now focusing on WebOS. This was a let down for me and I was not aware before but after using TV for couple of days I really forgot what WebOS is?? Netcast does well with panel and puts less load on panel which is plus at one side.nnMoreover, before purchasing TV even from local store, don't judge TV by the content they have in store because you gonna use DTH so try with HD channels and then compare the quality. This TV does nice job in upscaling HD to ULTRA HD quality. This price is unmatchable and you would never get in any stores.nnHit like if this helps you to decide in purchase.

Not future proof

Price wise this TV looks tempting. However there is catch. If read its specification in LG website it doesn't have HDMI 2.0 port. It supports only HDMI 1.3. Because of this digital input to the TV cannot be more than 30 fps where as with HDMI 2.0 gives you 60 fps which is needed to get real UHD experience. nnBasically when you connect it to a 4k player or set top box, it will loose the extra 30 fps. So its not really future proof as some may think. nnSamsung 4k TVs support HDMI 2.0 but they are way costlier than this.
