The LG L90 Dual is one of the few smartphones running Android 4.4 KitKat, plus its useful software customisations make for a good experience
May 30 2014 By Nitansh RastogiThe LG L90 Dual D410 has everything going for it – a solid build, rich display, useful software features, decent camera and performance with long-lasting battery life. However, it’s not enough against the fierce competition it faces. At the time of its launch, it was priced at Rs 19,000, but on online retail stores, it’s currently available for as low as Rs 15,500. But even at this price point, the smartphone is up against some mighty opponents such as the Gionee Elife E7
Read Full Reviewpros: dual simn uses regular size sim n gorilla glass protectionn 8gb internal plus micro sd card slotn quad core snapdragon processor n 8mp rear camera n (outdoor shooting is awesome)n android 4.4.2 kitkatn (as it contains kitkat out of the box its already optimized and is very snappy)n gaming is pretty smooth runs high end games toon (faced no problems in asphalt 8 mc4 gta nfs-mw dead trigger 2 etc)n ir blaster for acting as a tv remotenncons:n shooting in artificial light from the rear camera could have been bettern (but is decent i would say)n front vga cameran (does the job)n no light sensor that means no automatic brightness, have to adjust brightness manually n (most ppl end up switching off that feature any way)n screen is neither 720p nor 1080pn (xcellent viewing angles though and screen is vivid)n ppi 234n ( bt xperia c has 220, lumia 1320 has 245 and samsung galaxy grand neo has 186 so i would say its manageable given the competition)n back panel doesn't feel very premiumn (but most ppl will use a cover so no issues there)n ui is blandn (but is very snappy and there are custom launchers available in play store anyway)n no usb otg supportn (no xcuses for this bummed me out too)nnSo as it is clear its a pretty decent phone.nSure LG has cut some corners but has included cool features like ir blaster, knock code (innovative way to unlock screen, regular ways are also present off course) and a pretty fluid interface to more than make up for it.nnAlternatives (for screen size of 5 inches and above and in the same price bracket)nHuawei Ascend G700 (better screen, 2gigs ram but inferior camera)nNokia Lumia 1320 (6inch screen with a higher ppi and 720p screen with windows 8.1 expected to iron out the kinks but has 5mp camera and the app gap is something to keep in mind, but you can go for it after checking the availability of your favorite apps and if you are not overly dependent on google apps).nnI hope this review was helpful.nFeel free to ask anything about the LG L90 Dual or clarify any doubts that you may have.nnnPeace!!!
