Inspite of advice from many friends and relatives, i made the blunder of buying LG smart phone. Bought LG optimus P970( white) in Feb from flipcart.( flipcart service was excellent).nThis phone hangs at least once a day, if not more, from day 1 of purchase. nnThen in august 5 months after purchase the screen just freezed completely. Took it to the nearest service center in Udupi. The service center was a contrast to nokia. Absolutely no professionalism. After keeping it for one day, i was told that it has to be sent to Bangalore for repair. Got it back from Bangalore after a week and it looked like they had banged the phone on something to repair it. After some heated arguments they kept it for two more day and returned it in slighty better condition. Still did not look like the phone i gave them.nnThe hanging continued and then again 2 days back the phone freezed( Kindly note that the phone is only 6 month old) Again took it to the service center and they tell me that they do not have a part and it will take one week for the part to arrive( pls note that this is not an obsolete model. It is still being sold. but they need one week to get the part in this day of mobile phones and overnight couriers). nnCalled up their toll free number 18001809999 and their area sales representative( 09538883885) and got nothing but evasive replies. ( HOWEVER THEY WERE NOT RUDE LIKE THE SERVICE CENTER person)nnMy questions-n1. If a brand new 5 month phone( cost 18000 plus) freezes twice and needs 1 wk to repair each time, what will happen after the warranty period is over?n2. why cant LG have a professional service center like NOKIA?nnI have been using mobile phones for the past 16 years. I have used nokia, samsung and even brands like micromax. But have never encountered anything remotely frustrating as this. n Pls think twice before buying LG phones because i have heard this horror stories once too often.

I took this phone a month back and had overheating issues with the phone I received. Flipkart promptly replaced the phone, but the replaced phone was no good. The phone overheats very often to the extent that it burns your ears while talking. The 1GHZ processor doesn't perform to the expectations. The phone looks great in terms of specs, but not in real performance.nI would strongly recommend not to buy this phone.

Hi Everybody,nI have not bought this phone from flipkart but i want to say that this is the worst phone i have ever seen, its have a screen problem and other part lg Service center they never know what they want to do, Lg optimus black display not show anything and for key blink always , some service center say its have motherboard problem and other one say software problem, and suddenly your phone work fine and after some days problem arise again , i still facing this problem and lg service center surrender to repair this phone and they are not able to repair this phone, i decide to go to consumer court and that i have only way..... please think about your before buy nthanksngaurav

I ordered my LG Optimus Black last Friday and received this Monday.. Was eagerly waiting to use the device... Excellent delivery services by flipkart. Excellent packaging to avoid any damage. The device has an awesome clear NOVA display. The device runs pretty smooth.. Too early to give an opinion about the battery backup. This is my first Android.. The best thing about the Black is the 3G video calling feature which you don't get in any other device except in 30k range. Also the WiFi direct where you can transfer files directly between 2 WiFi devices. Got to explore a lot more about this sleek LG Android.. Camera quality is great and the sound is also loud enough. Would definitely give a tough competition to HTC and Samsungs' in the same range. Thanks Flipkart for providing such a great deal...
