Works fine..I earlier also had semi automatic lg. the added feature of soaking time plus washing is a benefit. And it comes with detergent box, so u don't have to put the detergent urself with a guess... While filling the tub with water thru inlet pipe, the water gushes in via the detergent box, so it takes in the amount of actual detergent needed automatically.
