Bored of regular 7-inch tablets, here comes the Micromax Funbook Ultra HD. The display is not just larger than the usual tablets, it also renders great graphics and wide viewing angles, thanks to HD resolution and IPS technology. The configuration is powerful enough to handle high-end games and multi-tasking, and 8GB of inbuilt storage, which is expandable as well, allows you to install and carry tons of games and movies without worrying about running out of storage space. Go for it if you are looking for a powerful tablet in a budget.

Display, configuration and design

The Micromax Funbook Ultra HD comes with a 7.8-inch capacitive IPS display with a resolution of 1,280 x 720 pixels (HD). It runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean out of the box, and is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core chip accompanied by 1GB of RAM.

The Micromax Funbook Ultra HD is 9.6mm thin and comes in a black-colored body with a dual-toned white case. The curved back panel gives it a unibody and metallic finish.

Camera and storage

For imaging, there is a 5MP rear shooter which can click pictures up to a resolution of 2,592 x 1,944 Pixels. It also carries a 2MP front snapper for video calling. The tablet comes with 8GB of internal storage, which is further expandable up to 32GB using a microSD card.

Connectivity, battery, other details

Connectivity-wise, the Funbook Ultra HD offers a 3G SIM slot, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and aGPS. The device draws power from a 3,600mAh battery. The tablet comes pre-loaded with a range of useful apps by Micromax.
