Very powerful machine with poor battery life

Bought it here for Rs 79500 in August. I am writing this review after using it for around 2 months. I don't use machines for playing games, but I did buy it because I might need to do visual programming in future. I am highly pleased with its performance. I use it to build apps on visual studio and VS 2013 runs on it like breeze while it is over 8 Gbs in size and brought down my earlier Dell Inspiron 1545 machine to OS boot failure. While Inspiron couldn't even launch VS, MSI Gp62 launches it in seconds !! . It also supports hyper threading so I am able to use virtual machines to do complete end to end development on virtual machine itself. Every feature is received as stated here. Battery life is a major drawback, I think it doesn't even last 1.5 hrs, thankfully I don't have to travel much. Don't rely on its battery, it you going out for some important task. My preference is high performance over anything and I give it a 10/10 for it, literally. Battery life : 4/10 Build and material of laptop outer covering : 8/10. Weight : Quite light, lighter than Inspiron 1545 which to me now feels like a brick. Screen quality : 9/10 Keypad : 9/10 Price : Its cheaper than what it can do seeing other brands. I recommend it highly to those who do computationally intensive tasks or handle large projects. Because I don't ever play games, I have no feedback for gamers. :)

Awesome Product!!! very powerful, built quality is sturdy compared to other laptops

I bought this laptop a few days ago. MSI is known for quality. Plays heavy games (Call of duty ghosts, nfs the run...you name it) as a breeze at 1080p. the FHD anti glare display is of very good quality. MSI is the only one right now which offers intel 5th generation quad core (note, not dual core) i7 5700HQ, it beats 4th gen 4700,4710,4720 hands down! Pros: *Intel 5th gen core i7 5700hq with hyper threading (4 physical cores, total 8 logical cores). *Very good built quality. *Supports 2 additional external displays at 4k resolution. *Plays heavy games with high (30-60fps) at 1080p. *wifi is 802.11ac with theoretical speeds of upto 9 gbps (regular a/g/n wifis are 65-150 mbps). *MSI logo is sexy lol. *MSI cooler boost technology is awesome. turn it on and it cools the processor upto 10 degrees down. *Awesome built in speakers with nahimic sound it feels like headphones. *light weight, only 2.3 kg. (for a gaming laptop) *good looks. cons: *No backlit keyboard, the more expensive apache series of MSI has them. *No SSD. (didnt expect one because they've managed to squeeze this much in a 80k laptop) *battery life, only 3 hours in regular use. (surfing, watching movies etc), its a gaming laptop, but still battery life could've been more.

Good but could have been better

Purchased it on 20 nov..Built quality is solid except for the screen panel which seems to be of avg quality.Looks nice but could have been better with a backlit keyboard .Screen and color quality is nice. The only game i am playing on it is fifa 16 which runs quite well.Overall it is a good deal but still If you are planing to buy this have a look at asus gl552jx.Also for some reason laptop was painfully slow at one point of time but after reset everything seems to be working fine.
