Pretty good

The only Laptop under 1 lakh rupees that gives you the latest 8th gen intel i5 processor paired with a gtx 1060 6gb . The Laptop is designed for heavy users like me . I game at least 6 hours on my machine and watch movies or surf the web for about 3 hours or so and this guy bears through it all like a champ All Games perform very well as is expected by msi : Fortnite (90-130 fps) , csgo (100+ all times) , League of Legends (180+) .and other non competitive games like GTA V, Witcher 3 will have no problems running here Pros :- 1. latest gen processors with powerful gpu 2. steelseries keyboard which is very comfortable to type on 3. windows 10 preinstalled 4. can fly through the latest games 5. Boot time is under 10 secs , and the system is fast as hell as well Cons :- 1. the screen : one of the major drawbacks of this laptop according to me , don't get me wrong , the screen is beautiful with good colours but the viewing angles got to me. I would've compromised if the refresh rate was higher than 60Hz but its not so BOO on msi's part because the screen is what plays the components 2. some drivers were not there and had to be installed manually like the touchpad or the gestures won't work 3. the keyboard only has red lighting ,I would have preferred either RGB or white considering the price point SO, All in all I would say if gaming and specs is your priority and you want a Solid Laptop that can breeze through demanding titles, this is the one . the only downside to this laptop is the screen IF and ONLY IF: you value the display more than performance i.e. you're a video editor or something then you might have to compromise on specs to get a better, brighter display with a better refresh rate and viewing angles .

Good quality product

The laptop is great for the price tag. Here are the pros and cons according to my review. pros: 1. Gtx 1060 6gb is bang for the buck. 2. 8th gen i5 which is better than i7 7700hq. 3. Steel Series keyboard looks good and very attractive. 4. Above Average Build quality. 5. Very nice and responsive touchpad. 6. Very good heat management. 7. The MSI brand. Cons: 1. The display is not that great as it is a TN panel, it still beats out the most of the IPS panels in the market. The horizontal view angles are good but vertical are not good. 2. Speakers are not loud, in fact, they are bad. 3. The battery backup is 2 to 3 hours for internet browsing and barely 1 hr for gaming and 2.5 hrs for multimedia. I wouldn't call it a con but it could do much better at this price tag. Overall the laptop is awesome, You can run all AAA title games at max setting with a min of 50 to 60 fps with no thermal throttling or frame drops. I feel it as a great choice but you can consider buying it when there is a special offer or discounts. I hope it helps. for more info go to youtube and see videos for this laptop.

Marvelous product.

I got this laptop for 78k, which is way cheaper than what u all are looking at (95k), but I was in sheer luck during big billion days. Anyway this review is made viewing the pricepoint as 95k. For a better review, watch this video, you'll get most of your doubts cleared. Just go to youtube and search for 'gv62 8re Jarrod's tech'. Pros 1. i5 8th gen, it might seem simple considering it has less cres than i7 7th gen, but mind u, this processor is faster than that processor, not by much, but it is. So don't even be concerned about 'i5'. 2. SSD, now this, this is way faster than your regular hdd, laptop boots up faster, and any games installed in this folder will have way less load times. 3. Thermals- Thermals in this thing are really good, considering the price point, you get turbo boost technology, which lets you run the fans at ma speed anytime you want, and config when it may automatically switch speeds in MSI's Dragon center application which comes pre-installed in the laptop. Just one thing, undervolt the cpu to get better temps precisely by -150mV. The fans will undoubtedly be loud when on max seed, just game with a headset on. You could also just hold down the fan button on the keyboard to boost the fan speed. 4.*** Gtx 1060 6Gb variant, at this price point, is a steal. The card is definitely not as powerful as a desktop variant, but run it with max fans and you'll get a better performance than other 1060 laptops. 5. The keyboard is a steelseries one and its really good. 6. The track pad is okay, palm rejection sucks, but whatever, if u r purchasing this for gaming, u wont need it most of the time. Cons: 1. The display's viewing angles suck (expected form a TN panel). At first I didnt care about 'viewing angles', but after using it for 10 min, I was disappointed, it looks perfect from the exact parallel line to your eyes vision, any more deviation will cause distortion. This is its biggest con, otherwise the display is quite good. 2. The built quality is plastic, although it has brush finish and nice feel to it,that doesn't change the fact that it's plastic. It's tends to get finger marks all over the place, just have a small piece of cloth to just wipe them off from time to time. 3. The batter life sucks, during gaming it lasts for 45 min h=which is to be expected, but when u r just surfing and watching youtube, it'll just last for 2 hours tops. Now that, might be a deal breaker to people who roam a lot. 4. There 3 sec delay whenever i open file explorer from taskbar, but i don't notice it when i use 'this PC' from desktop. Overall, if its for 95k, this laptop is pretty decent, but I'd recommend waiting for it to go down to 90k, don't expect the price to drop till 78k unless its a mega sale season. Just go for it!

Delightful

great laptop. cooling is awesome. both the fans remove heat effectively. touchpad is a little buggy. windows boot up time is great. battery is the worst. mostly 1.5 hours and in gaming you need to be plugged in always.Best laptop for gamers in this range. Gtx 1060 is on a whole other level than gtx 1050ti ✌✌✌
