Yes, if going by any of the reviews on internet about the world of Mirrorless Cameras, you'll find this is the best mirrorless of all the brands. Olympus is producing best micro 4/3rd cameras today. And the price is higher because of -- (1) Evf inbuilt in camera itself whereas most of mirrorless are coming without it. (2) Its design that makes it Splashproof and Dustproof. (3) All metal body , No plastic feel. Lastly, the impeccable picture quality and according to experts it produces best color reproduction. If you have the money pick it up above any mid range DSLR.
I was looking at the mirror-less cameras for quite sometime. The form factor is what drew my interest to the world of mirror-less. After some reading on the web I was confused on whether to go with Sony NEX or Olympus OMD Micro Four Thirds! One fine day I noticed a good discount for the Olympus OMD EM5 in Flipkart. I didn't give it a second thought and decided to go for it. Delivery from Flipkart was prompt. I am now using this camera for more than a month now and I am extremely happy with the purchase. In my recent trip to Kolkata I did not carry my DSLR and just went with this camera. It's a good travel camera and I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of photographs it produces. There were couple of occasions where I wished for my DSLR; due to challenging light conditions. However considering I just carried the 12-50 mm lens with this camera and such occasions were rare one can get a sense of the quality of this camera. Build quality is superb; no plastic feel at all. The electronic view finder works quite well. Any day I will personally pick up this camera over any of the entry level crop sensor DSLRs.
