STILL SWEATING EVEN AFTER BUYING ONIDA AC

I had the misfortune of purchasing an ONIDA AC Model 183SMH from M/s Kohinoor Televideo, Andheri. The AC was delivered at my residence on Sunday 10.05.2015. It was nice to receive a call from your service center regarding the visit of technician on Monday 11.05.2015.nI feel that my elation at that point was totally incorrect. The troubles started after that.nAfter persistent follow up, the technician Mr Fahim, turned up at 21:30 hrs. Since we wanted the AC to be installed at the earliest, due to a function in the family, I allowed him to carry out the work even at that late hour. MrFahim tried to commission the AC till 12:30 a.m., but still the AC could nor be commissioned.nThe service center adbvised that a senior technician would be sent on Tuesday 12.05.2015 to check the problem, but their was no further call/visit. Again, I had to follow up with Service Center and a technician, Mr Yadav turned up on Wednesday 13.05.2015.nHe tried to work out the problem and replaced the PCB. Even then the AC would not start. Then he advised that the sensor needs to be checked and replaced. At that point, we advised him not to undertake any further repairs and replace the AC.nFrom that point onward, We are following up with Kohinoor and Onida for replacing the AC, but to no avail.nThe function in the family had to be undertaken without the AC, with guests having a sweat-bath in the hot and humid summer, resulting in a major embarrassment for me and my familynThe deficiency in service by Ms Kohinoor and M/s Onida has resulted in a major mental trauma for me. I feel now that ONIDA should change its tagline from “NEIGHBOUR’s ENVY, OWNER’S PRIDE” to “OWNER’S ENVY, NEIGHBOUR’S PRIDE” since the owner, inspite of having paid the amount for the AC, is envying the neighbours who are taking pride in using the ACs purchased by them at equal or may be lesser price.nInspite of my regular follow up with ONIDA/KOHINOOR for replacement of AC, no action has been taken even after 8 days.nConsidering the same, you may yourselves decide, whether to buy ONIDA AC with your hard earned money.

Buy a table fan instead

Disgusting service, they don't even care to repair your product even if it's under warranty. There service in charge are rude and ill mannered people. They know they are selling wrong product . Just look at their website it doesn't even have email Id where you can write them mail. Their customer care executive shout at customers and tell them to talk to service guy directly as they can only forward the complain to service centre if they don't support nothing can be done, instead of buying this piece of shit one should buy a table fan that is much better.

Not recommended at all

Pathetic service from onida; they arrange a service person which never comes and when you call their customer care it's difficult to connect and once connected they assure a service person will come and that person always lie...hopeless ONIDA...NO COOLING; DISPLAY LIGHT BLINK ENTIRE NIGHT AND ITS GOOD FOR NOTHING

Worst AC DONT BUY THIS MODEL

Worst AC and Worst service. Too much of noise , poor sensor remote . Poor AC cooling. The AC is useless even after installing a stabilizer. Frequently switches off due to poor built up. Also 4 engineers came and said this is the functionality and cant change anything.nI am using samsung AC for 6 years still i have super cool in just 20 mins. New AC onida doesnt cool the room even after 1 hr and frequently switches off.nAlso power on indicator will not allow you to sleep since the light will be flashing when you switch off in night and only when you power off main that flashing will go. nPOOOOOOORRRRRRRRRRRRESTTTTTT AC nnRecommend never to buy this model as it as frequent issues and poor service support. .
