After a lot of research, I narrowed my choice to the IS703C after reading many positive reviews and more importantly which fell under my budget.nnThe positive aspects about this tablet includesn1) It has got sufficient 1GB RAM to run your required applications, a decent memory of 8GB to store your data and a good solo-core Cortex A8 processor to run your tasks efficiently.n2) The Android ICS is a great platform and touch screen response is commendable.n3) Connecting to internet and working on internet is a breeze be it with Wi-Fi or dongle.n4) Using Skype with a 0.3 MP camera is just fine but could have been better.n4) Working on documents such as Word and Excel is easy however, conventional computer cannot replace it entirely.n5) The tablet can be used for continuously 6 hours without internet and close to 3 hours using internet. (Haven't tried playing games yet)nnThe negative aspects of this tablet includesn1) Very low volume. If you want to watch a movie with your friend, then the external speaker may not be a good option. Instead listening to the audio using a good quality head phones or connecting to the TV using a HDMI cable is a better option.n2) It has been over two weeks after my purchase and the only time I faced a hang is when I was moving my applications to my 32GB MicroSD card. After a restart, the applications have been erased and I had to load them again into my internal memory. So, I would suggest you to keep your applications in your internal memory rather than your external to have a smooth experience.n3) If you have a MicroSD card and would like to transfer files into it, then it is better you transfer them using a card reader instead of directly plugging the tablet to your computer. You might have to wait for a really long time for small files to get transferred.nnOverall, purchasing a product for this price is a good buy.nJust because I experienced a few drawbacks, I would rate this table 4/5.
Bought this tablet after going through all the +ves and -ves reported on net. These are purely my observations. This could vary with others' experiences.nn* The specs are impressive for this price rangenn* Touch sensitivity and screen response are goodnn* Brightness is fine in indoors but strictly not for outdoorsnn* It gets warmed slightly after using for 45 min or 1 hour, but no heating as reported by some usersnn* Battery life is ok (don't have high expectations here)nn* To conserve battery keep these switched off when not in use:n1. WiFin2. Mobile Datan3. Accounts and Syncn4. Sleep time (not more than 2 min)n5. Do not install/use Live Wallpapers. Use static ones.nn* Sound quality is ok (remember it is a budget tab)nn* It works with almost all of the 2G/3G USB dongles available in the market. Do this as given in Technical FAQ section of Pantel website:nn1. Insert the dongle in USB port when the tab is switched offn2. Switch on the tabn3. Go to Settings -> Enable both Packet Data and Data Roamingn4. After few seconds, you should see 3G or some symbol in the Notification area (bottom right corner)n5. By default, the tab selects the correct APN. If there is still no connectivity, select the appropriate APN and enter the details of your mobile carrier.n6. If still no luck, click on Refresh default APN option from the menu (3 vertical dots on right top corner)n7. I tested on Huawei E1731 7.1 Mbps 3G dongle from Airtel. It worked like a charm ! APN is Airtel Internet (airtel.gprs.com). Did not change any of the default values. Do NOT select MMS or other APNs.nn* Connected to computer with OTG cable provided in the box with out any issues. Tab will NOT charge when connected to PC/Mac.nn* ICS 4.0.3 comes ROOTED in this tab !!! Install apps like Link2SD, Root Browser and do whatever you want.nn* No option to upgrade to 4.1 (Jelly Bean). But some information will be available in the net how to upgrade sooner or later.nn* Yet to test HDMI connectivity, will do this weeknn* Not yet installed micro SD, but will do so shortlynn* 0.3 mp front facing camera is oknn* Pre-installed apps:nn1. Browsers: Android, Chrome and Opera Mini (3 of them !!!)n2. Games: Angry Bids, Shoot the applen3. Office suite - docs, ppt, xlsn4. Gmail, Email (any incoming/outgoing mail server can be configured), Corporate Emailn5. Nimbuzz, Skype, Facebook, Twittern6. Google Play, Maps, Youtube, Latitude, Voice Searchn7. Adobe Flash Player, Vortex player, 2 File Managers, Audio playernn* I will be "satisfied" if this tab works properly for 6 months !
