The Reliance ZTE D286 is a phone that fits well in a small pocket and a tight budget. Reliance, the first company that brought cell phones to the budget conscious audience has once again got it spot on with the ZTE D286. It balances all the basic features in a sturdy frame and makes it a wholesome and value for money dual sim phone.
Hi Guys,nI am writing this review after using this phone from d last 20days. Got it from d local shop @Rs2200. I went to buy a CDMA phone for call usage only and came across with Reliance ZTE D286 having some additional featuresnnPros:n1-The most fabulous pros is that it is a dual sim.... CDMA+GSM.... which was a SURPRISE to me at this price... and believe me, it is the best in the segment.n1-Good descent and robust built quality... white one rocks.n2-Pretty decent screen size and quality with 5 b'ful inbuilt wallpapers. n3-Very good network reception with best sound quality. (The most important one as this was what I was looking for)n4-Good Battery backup.. lasts for more than 1.5days after heavy uses. (1000mAh battery is good enough.)n5-Has Bluetooth.. (Surprise No.2)n6-Has memory card slot (upto 8GB).... (Surprise No.3)n7-Has Facebook shortcut key (LOL...) and inbuilt OperaMini... and belive me... u will get more than expected light surfing experience. (I know u will use ur smartphone for surfing but since my Reliance DATA is free, I tried it, and according to its price range, the experience overwhelmed me.).............(Surprise No.4)n7- Camera is 1.5 MP... will not comment on it... :p.. I am sure u will not like to be a centre of attraction by clicking frm it in any party.. :pnnnCons:nNo cons at this price dudes........ Ab Rs2200 me kya bachhey ki jaan loge....nnnGo for it blindly as its features are additional boon if u want a phone to do call only.
I bought this handset from seller 'superior'. I'd been facing the following several problems in this handset right since day one...nn1) The seal of the handset's box was opened by seller. To hide this, the seller had put his own seal.n2) Battery backup of the handset is too less - drains 25% of charge after being on a call for only 15 minutes (I have another handset of the same model purchased from Reliance store - its battery backup is far better).n3) Handset restarts often when on calls.n4) Many keys are too hard to press and don't work properly.nnThe ZTE Service Center refused to accept the handset because the handset's invoice had no details such as IMEI # or Serial #. Upon complaining this issue to Flipkart, Flipkart duly accepted the return of my handset (after 11 months of purchase) and refunded the money.nnHats off to Flipkart for their amazing service. Beware of the seller 'superior' - never buy any products from them on any online portal.
