Display and Configuration
The new Tab 3 8.0 from Samsung comes with an improved design which ensures ease of handling with an ultra-thin bezel and device thickness of just 80mm. The screen itself is a vivid 8 inches of TFT with 800 x 1280 pixels resolution and 16M color depth, ensuring a brilliant visual experience.
Inside the sleek exterior is a powerful 1500mAh Dual Core processor in an Intel Atom Z2560 Chipset with 1.5GB RAM, which together make multitasking easy on this device. The good news for gamers is that this device comes with a PowerVR SGX544 GPU.
Camera and Storage
This Tab 8.0 comes equipped with a good 5MP of rear camera with all the features you'd expect from a smartphone camera - flash, autofocus, various modes and of course HD recording. A front camera of 1.3MP is provided for video calling and Skype.
This model provides a gargantuan 32GB of internal storage. Even excluding the space taken by system files, it should be enough for even the most heavy users. But if it is not, a further 64GB can be added to take storage to truly mind-boggling limits.
Connectivity and Battery
Samsung has given this device 4G capability with the LTE functionality, which ensures blazing fast speeds for browsing, video calling, etc. Coupled with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS (with A-GPS) and GLONASS and microUSB, connectivity is never a concern on this Tab 3. For all these power consuming features, the company gives this device a 4450mAh Li-ion battery.
