Superb basss Dolby digital

Initially had,roundup of F&D F3000U,F3000F 5.1 system.Then at Local store,heard almost all available home theatre system. Based on subjective impressions,Sony DAV,DAZ series were unimpressive with huge,but sloppy Bass.If one likes a V shape signature,Sony is the way to go. Mitashi (BT106),for once,sounded impressive but then came screeching highs...ugh. Panasonic ht-20,suffered from the same problems as Mitashi. Off the lot so far,F&D 3000U impressed me a lot,the midrange and vocals were silky smooth,the bass was satisfactory,though it went unheard in low volume. Then came a twist,on hearing Samsung HW -H20.Oh my god!! what an Authoritative and powerful sound...The bass Imapact was very good,even the dynamics.Surprised that 2.1 could outperform many 5.1 on separation...Thoroughly impressed. Then met its,bigger sibling the HT 350K.It had the same powerful sound,but even louder @330rms! Yes,it performs very well,even though the bass could be a bit overwhelming at times! No hassles on installation,if u find it troublesome,ring Samsung,to reserve a demo and installation. CONS. 1.It comes with the DVD player,with proprietry connections for speakers.So no way to separate the speakers from Player/Receiver. 2.No bluetooth.This is a sin at this price.Had to order a bluetooth receiver separately.I reccommend Musesonic Bluetooth receiver.The other ones failed on me. 3.Connections. Well this is stupid.What does Samsung were upto. No qualms on playing DVD,FM and all. When it comes to connecting TV/Set-top Box,Samsung has done a blunder. It has ONLY 2 AUX in ports!! And NO OPTICAL IN.Now how r we supposed to send in 5.1 signal from set-top box(Videocon HD) to the receiver/player.No matter what you do,you can never get true 5.1 surround,from HD Channels. It takes in stereo input,and mimics 5.1.By selecting modes from remote,u can select the speaker config. This is a big no-no for me. And the bass is a bit overwhelming,at times.No way to subdue subwoofer.

This is not a good home theater if u are looking for the small room.

Sharp and crystal clear voice quality. For a small room it's perfect. It's worth it.
