Samsung RT49H567ESL 481 Ltr Double Door Refrigerator

We are vegetarians and wanted a fridge with more refrigerator section and less freezer section. Unfortunately, there are very few that provide it. nnThe LG has good enough space, but very small shelf height(You can barely keep tall vessels). On the other hand we have Whirlpool with very good design but no inverter compressor! The Panasonic has bottom freezer. The smaller Samsung fridges have a very bad door shelf design(the bottle space) and so on... nnAfter searching a lot and increasing my budget from 35K to 50+K, I finally settled on this baby. This has everything balanced with only draw back of shelf height not being adjustable. But I can assure you that its plenty enough! The other plus point of this fridge is the power consumption. Its rated at just 299 Units for a 481L fridge. To compare, a 270 Litre 3 star rated non-inverter compressor fridge will consume almost 550 Units. So this should save you a lot on energy if you don't open the door frequently. nFlipkart delivered it in a day! The Samsung guy installed it the very next day, so we had to stay without a fridge for a night due to exchange.(Note that you need to call Samsung and inform them the moment you receive your fridge. Flipkart will take their own sweet time to inform Samsung even though they assure it will be done soon. The installation from Samsung is free of cost). nnNow the problem: The only nagging problem with this fridge is that the refrigerator section door(the bottom door) is hard to open. This happens if you try to open the fridge within 40 to 50 seconds of previous opening. Initially I thought the magnets inside the door were too strong, but after further investigation its due to the vacuum formation inside the fridge. However if the fridge is not opened for the last one minute, then it will open relatively easily. nAfter a lot of investigation, talking to Samsung service folks, posting in online forums, it seems like it is an intended feature to save energy. This is a problem with large refrigerators with a P-Type drains. However one can live with it. The gasket will eventually become loose in few months and the door should become a little free. nI eventually cancelled the return ticket with flipkart that I had raised earlier and decided the keep the Fridge :) nnGoogle for the "fridge door tight" and you can find few answers(as flipkart does not allow me to post links here).
