Incredible Zoom in a compact body...

After a long research over internet, I had decided to buy Cybershot Hx20v, but when I went to shop,I asked the shopkeeper to show me cybershot Hx50v, I get stunned By its looks, it impressed me so I brought this one home.. Its really very beautiful camera and its image quality is very nice.. Near DSLR quality... when i set it at 30x zoom, it gives me crystal clear images with out any noise(minimum noise) you can further extend it to 60x by digita zoom and then by 120x by clear zoom(Picture quality will be lower at 120x zoom) ,its optical steadyshot gives you blur free images at full zoom,i wish if I could post some images too... :/ , its low light performance is incredible, its EXMOR R sensor does the job nicely and BIONZ processor does it perfectly. its built in Wi-Fi function enables you to control your camera with your smartphone, and GPS enables to track the location, there are 16 scene selection like background defocus, skin softening,3D,Advanced sports shooting etc..its video quality is also very good, It can shoot full HD video 1920x1080 at 50p overall its a fully packed compact camera, price 23k is litlte bit high.. bt its worth, you will not regret after buying it.. jst love this camera.. love Cybershot Hx50v.

Compact with zoom

Was assessing this and Nikon P520. Decided for SONY HX50V due to size. Almost half the weight and very compact. Good results - for regular use. Not much of SLR features but for a beginner, it is a good value. nDrawback - the flash does not auto-pop, even on auto mode. We have to manually bring out the flash. Zoom auto focus is slightly slow.nAdvantage - wonderful compact size, with 30X zoom. Good panoramic mode. nWill recommend for any user, who wants to graduate to the next level.nnHad bad experience with Flipkart on this purchase. Regretted buying through Flipkart - ordered Black colour, received Silver - which is Rs. 1500 cheaper. Flipkart making all excuses...

BEST ALL IN ONE CAMERA

Real world review...nIts the most expensive camera in its class. nPic qulity better than any digicam bt dont expect a dslr result out of it and yes in some situations it can take pics like a dslr.nZOOM the killing feature of this one is really good bt no one uses it in casual photography( i have experienced now). I only use it when i take pics of animals birds etc and real fun is when we play pranks on people who are far away from us, takes images of moon at 200x zoom seriously its fun to have it so, for some it may be useful for others its a must have.nWifi transfer works great. Now no more waiting to tranfer on laptop via usb. just transfer using wifi on phone then share it use it...nBattery- 200 shots with flash so far the best in any camera.nBody and looks- its a beauty and the beast its lens is insanely long and thick bt seriously everyone keeps aside their device when they see sony hx50v.nAdvice-nNo doubt the product is best in its class bt m telling you that when you use it you have fun playing with its so many features but sadly if you dont get time to take out the camera and dont use it frequently you feel that you have wasted your 20000rs.n tight And medium budget buddies go for under 10000 cameranFor those who just want to carry such a zoom and play with it i recommend this device.nnIn short its a really good device bt there is nothing to shell out 20000 rs so buy if you dont have bugdet problem. It has that 30x zoom which makes it standout, nothing else. Photos are also really good but not that much.nGo for canon if it has such a zoom.

Fantastic

I was looking to buy an SLR camera, then I came across this model. I have been using this for the past month. I must say this is where I stop for my camera needs.nnThe pictures are so vivid and even in low light. I have seldom used the flash but the flash is very powerful and enhances the low light pictures very well.nnThe transfer to my Sony laptop has been a bit buggy, i am yet to figure out how to do this. It comes with a built-in wifi sharing and should connect well with the TV. Yet to experiment it.nnBattery is decent, but could have been better. It is worth a buy for this price. But it is handful though, So you have to be careful in holding it.

Not amazing but decent camera with GPS

Its a decent camera - easy to use. Overall, I wish I had spent my money on some other camera, and not got taken in by the zoom capability and GPS on this model.nnPositives:n- Zoom is good - though picture quality degrades at full zoomn- GPS is handy - usually gets a fix in a few secondsnnNegatives:n- Not impressed by the colours in pictures - low saturation - pictures look a bit bleakn- Low light performance is worse than cheaper smaller Sony point-n-shootsnnMaybe I haven't figured out how to configure the camera to get best performance - but I am used to a Nikon DSLR with which I get brilliant photos after making adjustments, and a small Sony point-and-shoot which also gives excellent photos without any tinkering. This camera doesn't quite seem to have the capabilities for tinkering that a DSLR does, and doesn't give out of the box great pictures like a point and shoot should. Its neither here, nor there.
