I was waiting to buy a point and shoot good quality camera for long and recently got a chance to buy one before going to a tour in north eastern India. I simply went for this sony model and tell you guys what, I am still amazed with my own clicks of vibrant nature in my tour there. This camera got a amazing range of modes which are really easy to use and not at all complex!! The sony's inbuilt processor gives really awesome output in several cases. It got a tremendously good 1080i HD video shooting capability and the GPS tag on the photos are just the icing on cake. In fact I am in love with this nice little thing!!
Really awesome !! i'll not mention pro's coz everybody has mentioned it. Lets talk about cons firstly the main thing was it had much plasticy feel unlike nikon & canon hwever build quality is good ! the case u get is not one which can protect ur cam even after falling You'll have to purchase a seperate battery (for emergency) but its too costly around 2,000 And 1,659 for the tripod !! Macro capability is poor (5cm)! Battery life is 3.7/5 best thing is HDR which is not in other brands yet panorama has to be only made in tripod to get a perfect or else tou'll get a whacky image as a result of shaking hands spare parts r very costly nice manual mode photography(especially shutter speed as low as 30 seconds) However i am very happy with this.Fast focussing than any other cam ion this price range BUT IF YOU CAN AFFORD TO SPEND 2,000 RS EXTRA THEN GO FOR "HX9V" .IT NOT ONLY HAS 16X OPTICAL ZOOM BUT IS MUCH FASTER THAN THIS
