I purchased this laptop from a store and not flipkart. The build quality is sturdy and has a good feel to it. Looks are pretty neat too. The keys have sufficient travel though it took me a bit of time getting used to.Its also backlit, so no difficulty typing in the dark. The 1600x900 display is pretty and has good viewing angles but is a bit too glossy...a bit of bright light and you end up seeing reflections in the screen... the brightness can be turned up to cancel this effect to some extent. The graphics are good enough to play many recent games at decent settings...You have to configure the switchable graphics for this otherwise you end up with slow frames as the laptop chooses the intel HD graphics by default. Although this device comes with just 4 GB RAM, this laptop is expandable to upto 16 GB of memory;many laptops restrict this to 8 GB (which is more than sufficient). Battery life is decent... at 50-60% screen brightness I was able to get around 4:15 min from it which included half an hour of playing need for speed. Also , kindly note the laptop comes with two usb 2.0 and two usb 3.0 ports ;Flipkart specifies it as having only 2 usb ports. One of the USB 3.0 ports has a charging feature which you may use to charge your devices even if the laptop is switched off. Sound is very decent thanks to Dolby, though you may not be able to compare it with a Dell xps or a samsung with JBL speakers +subwoofer , sounds are clear and have a natural feel. The touchpad is also pretty good, though it could be better.I guess updating to the latest drivers may solve that. The laptop ships with a free matching Bluetooth mouse (black n gold color) and keyboard skin.. Cons:The device can feel a bit warm while gaming, though its not too uncomfortable. Touchpad gets stuck when resuming from sleep mode at times. Glitchy switchable graphics drivers on updating to windows 8.1. If you want to go for a laptop with windows' latest OS plus are an occassional gamer, then this is the device for you.
firstly i want to tell you that i have not purchased it from flipkart. 1. laptop doesn't gets heat up while doing some heavy work or playing games. 2. Looks is brilliant (i have a white one). My first reaction after seeing the laptop "WOW". 3. The sound is very clear but not that loud but one could use external speakers with it. 4. Its very fast as the specs suggest , does not hang and starts in very less time. 5. I have used GNS on it with 10 routers and cpu utilization was about 15-19% , it works very smoothly and not get heat up at all. 6. As its a gaming laptop , so games will run smoothly on it and it doesn't gets heat up while playing. 7. One of the most important factor in this laptop is the battery back up. It will give you a battery back up of around 5 hours and 30 min while doing less intensive work like surfing the net, reading an e-book,etc. And that is an excellent back-up as compared to other laptops haaving graphic cards in this range. Its also one of the reason i bought this laptop. It also gives good battery back-up while working on gns. But the battery back-up will certainly reduce with high intensive work like playing hd movies, heavy games, etc. 8. Its pixel resolution is 1600*900 which is not there in any of the laptops in this range. Images look crisp and sharper. 9. Accessoriies you get with this laptop is keyboard skin and bluetooth mouse.I always use the keyboard skin (acts as the protection) while typing. 10. The most annoying feature in this laptop is the gesture control. It does not sense your hands unless you shake your hands 50-60 times in front of the camera. I think thats a useless feature if it doesn't work well. I have given this review after using the laptop for 2 months. Go for it if you have that budget and it solves your purpose.
This is a really good laptop and on top of that its a limited edition laptop. The Swarovski Crystals on top lip makes it dazzle and the design is fluid and beautiful. The Clickpad (Touchpad, Sony calls it clickpad) is large and there's just one button which gives more space for gestures and scrolling. It works very really nice. Though right clicking needs practice. The Speakers though small are really Loud and there's Dolby Theatre Effect which gives the speakers a nice boost and music is clear and crisp. The Keyboard is backlit which automatically senses the surroundings. There's no bleeding of the backlit and it's perfect. The Processor works fast enough and Sony has included some nice enhancements like Gestures with the Clickpad as well as the Camera which makes using Windows 8 even more easier. It comes with Windows 8 preinstalled which is an amazing OS and works great even without touchscreen and is intuitive, fluid, beautiful and fast. There are some bloat wares , so please remove them to speed up your PC. The Screen is gorgeous as it has a 1600*900 resolution and the colours are accurate and there's no bleeding again and brightness is also excellent. The Ambient Light Sensor automatically controls the Screen brightness and keyboard backlight. The mouse, bag and Keyboard skin that come bundled with the laptop are matching and are premium top quality products again by Sony. The price is higher since it is a limited edition laptop and it is studded with Crystals. Also Sony takes money for design and build quality and believe me I have used a lot of machines and this is a sturdy and beautiful machine. Perfect Laptop!! and games run really well. Tried Sims 3+ 4 Expansion packs, NFS, etc.
i didnt buy this laptop in flipkart but i bought this laptop in sony centre.i boutht this for rs. 52,500.i used to play games with this laptop.it gives me super performance.this laptops graphics card is very good.it has 3 graphics card.1.amd radeon hd 7670m and 2.intel hd graphics 4000. and 3.amd radeon hd 7570m.these 3 graphics card gives great performance graphics mostly looks real.power is great.batteries lasts overtime.i prefer you all to play games by connecting your laptop to power supply.i played games like FIFA 14,CRYSIS 3,THIEF,NBA 2K14,GTA 4,ASSASINS CREED 3,FIFA 14,BATTLEFIELD 3,MOST WANTED 2012 AND ALL OF THE HIGH GRAPHICS GAMES.THIS LAPTOP IS VERY GOOD.THIS IS A GAMING LAPTOP.U CAN FIND IT WHEN U PLAY A GAME.
i dont like this lapi b'coz... i t s very soft..... :P lappi size is very small... pink colour dont like :P why i prefered asus k55vd.. - Free dos ( SO THAT U CAN SAVE AROUND 2000 , also i need windows ultimate which is best windows os ) - according to my use there is no much difference between i3 and i5 ( i3 supports all games and graphics like i5 ) SO THAT U CAN SAVE AROUND 2500 - 4 gb ram is more than enough to run windows 7 ultimate ( so 8 gb ram is unnecessary ) - i prefer 500gb harddisk space because it is nice to say that ' my laptop has builtin 1tb harddisk ' but practically we wont use more than 500gb :P ( if u arent a movie lover u wont cross 300gb ) - I AM GAMER SO I NEED GRAPHICS CARD MUST ( 1gb graphics is enough but god gifted me 2 gb graphics in the name of ASUS mania :D) - nowadays USB bootable techniques are available so we wont use any dvd drives (blue ray disk reader is unnecessary , SO THAT U CAN SAVE AROUND 3000) - Metallic chic looks great . - user interference and appereance is 1000 times better than Dell.. - what i need is best USB slot ( 3.0usb(2) and one 2.0 usb ) - battery works great.. - touchpad works great it supports multifinger options like in mac .. ( pls use elantech touchpad driver )
