Its good below 20k. It has manual zoom, macro zoom. But there is no pause button. That sucks. you can use windows movie maker to assemble the clips. But the still images is not that much good quality. Its handy & easy to use

It is a excellent product from Sony. It is a full HD camcorder & its recorded picture quality is too good. Its Exmor R CMOS Image Sensor are capable to capture bright picture in low light. Its sound recording quality is also excellent. The recording media is SDHC card which can read by any card reader and can easily transfer to your PC. You also can transfer directly form your camcorder to your PC by using its built in USB port. You can buy this camcorder & I am sure that it must be satisfy to you by its excellent performance.

This is an excellent product from Sony. However, If one would be making only DVDs from the captured videos than DCR-SX21E will serve the purpose. The advantage of this camera being good low light level performance, better colours and HD quality if one will be making blue rays discs or watch videoss on a HD Tv.
