The Toshiba Tecra A50-ASMBNX4 features a 15.6-inch HD LED backlit TFT display with a native resolution of 1,366 x 768 pixels. The black coloured casing is extremely thick (34.9mm) and heavy (2.6kg).
Processor and RAM
Under the hood, the notebook is equipped with an Intel HM77 Express chipset bearing a 2.4GHz Intel Core i3 processor from the third generation. To handle multiple tasks, it has a standard 4GB DDR3 RAM which is expandable via two unused DIMM slots. The task of managing rich games and videos is given to the inbuilt Intel HD 4000 GPU. It ships with 64 bit Windows 7 Professional OS.
Camera, Storage and Multimedia
The Toshiba Tecra A50-ASMBNX4 shows off a 2MP webcam which claims to record 1,080p videos. Together with a stereo microphone, it provides noise free video calling experience. The 500GB SATA HDD provides sufficient storage space and operates at 7,200rpm to provide faster response.
The presence of SuperMulti DVD Drive with dual layer support allows you to run all kinds of disks. The stereo speakers and DTS Studio Sound software provide crisp sound while watching movies.
Battery and Connectivity
The Toshiba Tecra A50-ASMBNX4 claims to provide up to 5.9 hours of uninterrupted service with a 6 cell Li-ion battery. The networking and connectivity features come in the form of Gigabit Ethernet, WLAN, Bluetooth v4.0, two USB 2.0 slots, two USB 3.0 slots, HDMI out and digital media reader. Additionally, it has RGB slot and one docking connector.
